While I wasn't the most disciplined at implementing her recommendations, which were more actionable than my typical "evidence-based medicine" doctors and incorporated feedback from her patients, I noticed my vitals improved with lower heart rates (even with minimal exercise except walking), more energy from better sleep, and less stress with a few minutes of mindfulness each day. Given the conflicting info online that confuses me, her step-by-step guidance, ranging from assessments of produce and water quality to what to eat in moderation with more variety from having diverse colors, supplemented with specific vitamins and minerals, was incredibly valuable. Even though I'm no longer her patient (due to moving too far and out of her insurance network), she still cares to help with checking in and local resources. More importantly, she is open-minded to try combining experiential physical, mental, and social activities, ranging from individual meditation chants to group dancing even online. She also tailors her medical visits in the form of courses for general health and specific ailments, ranging from autoimmune diseases to cancer. Your health is priceless. Once you lose it, it's hard to restore it. Words can't describe how grateful I am to have met her, thanks to my endocrinologist referring me to her when she could no longer prescribe drugs that compromised my immune system. I likely wouldn't have survived this long without her holistic and actionable approaches to improving my health from the inside out with simpler, cost-effective, and more impactful remedies than relying solely on drugs, which are curative and warranted in some cases, such as infectious diseases.

I fail to see without the acupuncture how this is any different from the psychiatry dept. When a patient tells them they are on Medical and they were the only place that took the insurance that could treat my disease they just tell you to find a provider that doesn't take your insurance and pay for it yourself-when you explain you can't -they essentially tell you tough luck-thats your problem! Where is the caring and compassionate care that Stanford claims in their mission statement?

First thing you need to know--it will take months--yes, literally months--to get an appointment. When I reacted in disbelief, I was told unapologetically "Stanford in a teaching facility our doctors are only in a couple of days a week". Seeing patients is not the priority of this center. Second thing to know--you will get mysteriously charged additional copays months after your appointment. It turns out that the doctors do not charge copay by appointment, but by "topic". When I questioned the additional copay, I was told I must have asked the doctor a question unrelated to what my appointment was schedule for so each additional question can be charged a separate copay. Are you kidding me? Finally, and most importantly, again Standford is a teaching hospital--if you require surgery, or treatment, I highly advise that you ask that the interns/students do not work on you. I did not, and I physically paid dearly for it!!

First off, so understanding that we were 25 minutes late because we were stuck in the nightmare that is Bay Area traffic, which is important when these appointments are hard to get. The thing that impressed me the most was the care that the patients receive. Every doctor comes to the patients exam room and everything happens in an efficient way. My dad's neurologist is just a wonderful guy with a great bedside manner. He is open and honest and really puts things into perspective. Next his pulmonologist is sharp, insightful and is very thorough. The support staff is wonderful and really make patients and their family feel heard, cared for and like this process really is a team effort. I would highly recommend this clinic to anyone who needs quality care. Although we come from 3+ hours (today's trip took 5 hours), I would not want my father getting care from anyone else.

I never have to wait more than 5 minutes for an appointment, because no one has time to sit around and wait when they are sick or have things to do.
