St Vincent De Paul Thrift Store

A must if you like the art of the hunt!…read more Been exploring this clean store for over 15 years. It's well respected and supported by the community. I might also add, it's a regular stop for fellow family members who come up from the low country. Ya just never know what you'll find. Example: king size danish teak headboard, $20! (And some guy wrote a review that items were over priced! I beg to differ!!!) Not only that, you'll be surprised at the sometimes discount applied at check out. Doesn't happen every time but when they want to move stuff out, you'll leave even more excited about your purchases. Now the outside items can get kind of scuffie. Making the entrance/store questionable. So if that bothers you, keep to the regular retail shops. (Most items outside, like furniture or appliances move fast. If not the weather has its fun). Inventory changes all the time. The staff is awesome. Always has been. Friendly, helpful and cheerful! Note, store is closed Mondays for restocking. Making Tuesday a must to grab the good stuff.

I recently found this local St Vincent De Paul store in Pinetop Az. I have now been there three…read moretimes and on two of the occasions found some great jackets for myself and shirts for my husband. We have donated on two of the three occasions. On this last trip we had a box of donations, some cute vintage ice cream dishes, heavy wooden candle holders and various other rustic and vintage home decore, oh and one "like new"golf shirt. When my husband put the box down he remarked they weren't taking clothes at this time. He put the box down anyway leaving the golf shirt. Within a minute a bearded man came out of the back and said very gruffly and loudly "People can't FUCKING read, it says no clothes"! We were shocked, my husband said "It's a donation if you don't want it or cant't use it throw it away". I was astounded. We went inside, the man at the counter was very pleasant but I did not share what had just happened, I turned to my husband and said "Let's leave". As happy as I was to find and support that store we will NOT be back to donate or buy anything. It's a shame really because I was told on a previous trip to the store that the owner does not make a profit and if she does she gives it to people to help them pay their electric bills and make ends meet. That guy was completely out of line, if you are having a bad day go home, if your attitude is that bad in public you should NOT work with the public. I hope the owner/ manager sees this post. Unfortunately we won't be back and others will pay for his bad and very rude attitude. Fortunately there are several other stores in Pinetop/Lakeside that accept donations and their profits go to charity.

Goodwill - Beautiful vase I found at a decent price

**July 2026: Sunday Night Visit**…read more This is my favorite Goodwill. I first visited Flagstaff four years ago and stopped in here then, and it was just as great on this trip. Parking is ample, which makes it easy to pop in and browse without any hassle. I also love that there's truly something for everyone here, whether you're shopping for men's, women's, children's, or household items. On this visit, I found a bolo tie, a Lawrence Kazar silk deep purple beaded mini dress, a black leotard, and a pink square neck leotard. The selection is colorful, varied, and well worth digging through, and the sizes worked well for me too. My total came to $18.85, which felt like an incredible deal for everything I brought home. Can't wait for my next Flagstaff visit to find more gems!

The Milton location is very central to Flagstaff. It's a prime location near NAU campus. It's very…read moreclean, and smells fresh which is nice. I haven't had any interactions with employees, but I am sure they're all very kind. My issue I have with this store & all of Goodwill's is that they overprice items, or sell things heavily damaged at almost full cost. Below is proof. The shorts are NWT priced at $6.61 from the department store it came from. Goodwill is selling it for $8.99. They have no shame whatsoever doing this. It's really awful business. After this experience, I will be shopping at non profits, because this is very disturbing. Do better Goodwill.
