I went to Beauty First on Dodge Street in Omaha and was unable to locate the product. The first girl helping me didn't know anything about the products. The second seemed to know something about the products and told me it was discontinued. She ended up recommending to me this oily Firewall product that doesn't work and talked me into renewing my Beauty First yearly enrollment. I wasted $40.00 at this place. I found my Matrix Mega Sleek spray on amazon. Beauty first is a joke. You got me this time so relish it because I'm never going back. Too bad you don't care about your customers. I knew I should have just left the store immediately when I didn't find my product. Buyers beware: If they tell you something is discontinued, what they really mean is they don't sell it at Beauty first anymore, that doesn't mean the manufacturer discontinued the item. Your salespeople should choose their words more carefully, so they appear knowledgeable and honest especially in today's economy. 6-13-2023

She basically soaked my feet in water and put nail polish on. She does not know how to cut curling hair or maybe hair at all. I told her I part my hair on one side but cut it as though I part it in the middle so I ended up with a shelf of short hair on one side and the length in the back was cut into a "V". It was a big waste of money.

My 16 year old is going to Votech for Cosmetology. She received an email from this salon looking…read morefor an assistant, to which she excitedly applied. After being given the job, she was shown how to correctly wash hair & assumed to work on other skills she had learned at school per her hiring instructions. She had worked there since September and that was the only skill she worked on (besides washing towel, cleaning the salon, mopping, etc.). After Christmas break she was very sick, but does not call off. She was going to high school and holding 2 jobs (her own choice). She received a text message from the owner asking to meet with her after school her next shift, so she went to work and waited to speak with Kellie, the Owner. She was told she was being let go because the boss could tell she was "whooped" after a long day at school. NO WARNING, NO STRIKE 1, just YOUR FIRED. Her other job cannot rave about her hard work enough for her age. She rarely calls off & has a positive attitude at work. As a business owner myself, these are not practices I live by nor would I recommend treating staff this way. My daughter was crushed when I reached out and was told she was basically lazy. She is 16, it was your job to give her guidance and explain how things work in the salon. After speaking with many stylist friends, owners, teachers, we are appalled at how this was handled. Not a great way to shape the minds of our children's futures.
