Timothy is a GIA certified appraiser so I knew his knowledge and appraisal insights would be up to the GIA's rigorous standards. Timothy spent a good deal of time looking at the ring through his microscope, studying it's characteristics and taking notes and photographs of the details of the ring. He researched similar pieces online and concluded that I received a very good deal from the jeweler I purchased the ring from. Timothy's appraisal gave me the peice of mind that the ring was within a few hundred dollars of what the jeweler claimed the replacement value would be. The time Timothy spent with me, viewing the ring and researching it was well worth the appraisal fee which I thought was fair to begin with. (I needed downsized 1.5 for reference and 3 rows of diamonds on band). And also no loose diamonds requiring prong work. As much as I prefer to support local I will not support this jeweler ever as my trust is destroyed and do not recommend unless you want to be ripped off. Especially in regards to jewelry repair.
