Aside…read morefrom general subject matter expertise, I wanted to get an appointment timely and not wait months, and I also wanted to be sure that I was working with the same Doctor of Physical Therapy for the whole appointment time and for every appointment. I am so glad I selected Pro+Kinetix and was well worth the drive for me. Dr. Emma helped my ankle immensely, and I learned so much from her. I recently completed a trip abroad and did major hiking and cobblestone walking in sandals and did not get another injury, which felt inevitable. This is a credit to her! She is super knowledgeable about all parts of the body, but seems to also be a real expert and very skilled in feet and ankles. Dr. Emma was also motivating, but never made me feel bad when I didn't accomplish all of my at-home exercises. She is so friendly and personable and I looked forward to seeing her. You can tell she really cares about her patients and is putting her all into every visit. She is always prompt and prepared. Logistics: because Pro-Kinetix has great admin support, scheduling was not that big of an issue. They have a good system, so I didn't have to wait that long (compared to most places) to get in to see the doctor, and they schedule you pretty far out from there- so you can be sure to see your doctor at whatever cadence is needed. They also keep a waitlist and timely text every time an opening comes up. The billing process outside of insurance was super painless. You just download a form from their website and submit the reimbursement request (if your insurance allows it). I was always able to get a spot right in front in the mornings, but they also have their own validated parking lot behind the building, which is really appreciated in this busy area of Oakland so you don't have to circle for a spot. I highly recommend Pro-Kinetix Physical Therapy, it's worth the expense to heal your injury right and efficiently the first time. I feel better knowing that they exist in case I ever have another issue in the future, I will know who to call.

Can't say enough great things about Dr Kelvin! I first booked the checkup after several months of…read morelower back pain from a tweak during deadlifts. During this time I put as little strain and exercise on my back as possible because I didn't want to strain it again, which turned out was the wrong thing to do. In our first meeting, he was quick to diagnose that it was most likely a muscle strain and not a hernia or spine problem, and he started me on small strengthening exercises to get the muscle moving again and blood flow to the area. Over the next couple weeks, we progressed to light squat and deadlift exercises again, and my back felt considerably better. After a few sessions, I tweaked my back again when I foolishly decided to lift too heavy, and Dr Kelvin helped me work through the strain with more core strengthening exercises and light workouts. After 6 sessions I feel better than ever, with the pain lessening by the day! I'm going back to the gym on a regular basis and starting to play sports again too, which I thought would be nearly impossible due to the pain back then. Thanks again to Dr Kelvin and shoutout to Maddy, the fantastic patient care specialist behind the desk!

My lawyers arranged my visits to your office, I didn't choose you. And what if i was seen on a lien? So you're implying that because I didn't pay yet, which my lawyers are handling, I'm doing what? It all leads to more evidence, in your tone and accusation, that you treat those on lien poorly. 2) You didn't even see me Dr. Andrew's. You did the initial assessment then passed me off to a useless chiropractor, Jessica(?) who I repeatedly asked NOT TO SEE. 3) Where is your evidence that I was seen "more than 3 minutes? You didn't treat me! So you're now saying that to defend yourself when you weren't in the room. I was, and that was my experience. Go ahead and defend your shitty office, I'm still reporting my experience. 1 time - 10 mins? 2nd time - 7 min, all session after that less than 5 mins. I'll round up. 4) Your office kept calling and calling to schedule appointments that I didn't want. After 2-3 weeks of ignored called, you finally got the point. I told my lawyers that I did not want to go to your office. 5) My experience was poor and I'm reporting it here. Defend all you want, my experience was still poor and I am using the platform which was made for this, to share my experience. "Very disappointing to see such a LIE from an adult" yea, I know. What do I get out of this negative experience? Nothing but the hope that one person may be spared my experience.

A family member of mine was diagnosed with cancer, and while researching treatment options, I came…read moreacross Infuze MD. After a brief call with an employee named Paolo, who spoke positively about the clinic, I shared the information with my relative. In hindsight, I realize that in my desperation, I may have overlooked warning signs. At the time, I did not realize Paolo is not a medical professional, even though he was the first person discussing treatment options. The clinic is owned and operated by Dr. Nilda Agnes Abellera, who is board-certified in PEDIATRICS but whose clinic advertises integrative medicine. My relative traveled from out of state to begin what was described as an "intensive" 20-day cancer program. According to her account, the first three days did not feel intensive. She reported that infusion rates appeared slowed, staff could not explain the scientific basis for some treatments, and the doctor missed a planned medication review. She also observed what she believed was dried blood on a chair and described an IV bag fully draining while the needle was in place, which worried her. On October 9, 2025, she said her care was terminated immediately after raising concerns, without timely written notice, referrals, or arrangements to ensure access to medical care until she could establish care elsewhere. Referrals were only provided after I contacted the clinic. This abrupt termination caused a delay of over a month in her treatment and worsened her PTSD symptoms. She also tried to obtain her medical records multiple ways. On October 10, she requested them in person but was denied. She also submitted a written request and used the clinic's online inquiry form. As of this writing--52 days later--she has not received her complete records. When I called the clinic, Paolo was tense and dismissive, and I could not speak directly with Dr. Abellera. Given the situation, I became concerned about whether proper procedures were followed and intended to file a complaint with the Medical Board of California. Additional observations and concerns (personal experience): Family-run structure: The clinic is owned by Dr. Abellera. Paolo appears to manage many aspects, and another family member may also work there. This raised questions about oversight and role clarity. Online reviews: Of 32 Google reviews, 5 were five-star without details. Only one mentioned "cancer," making it hard to evaluate patient experiences compared with other clinics with hundreds of detailed reviews. Difficulty communicating with the physician: My relative and I tried to speak directly with Dr. Abellera; she did not speak with me, and my relative felt the doctor was unwilling to address her concerns. This lack of communication was alarming given her serious diagnosis. Cost vs. expectations: The program cost approximately $1,800 per day. Based on my relative's experience, the services did not match the program description. Others may feel differently, but this was our impression. Social media promotion: Paolo participates in Facebook groups promoting the clinic without identifying himself as an employee, which seemed misleading. I have included a screenshot for reference. In more than a decade in healthcare, I have never witnessed a more concerning divergence from a physician's duty to do no harm: terminating care without notice, effectively leaving my relative without immediate, comparable care options while facing life-threatening cancer.

I've had a…read morelife history of chronic neck, shoulder, and upper back pain, not from some big accident or anything but from many many years of slouching, working at a computer, playing the bass guitar... you know, modern urban life. Dr Shakeri knows how to make my pain go away and keep it away. A sign in his office says "PAIN IS NOT A LIFESTYLE" and that's basically the gist of it. My neck doesn't keep me awake at night, I'm not popping pain meds, my posture is better, my breathing is better, my energy is better, it's a chain reaction. Yes, it's chiropractic and there is usually "cracking" involved, which is not everyone's cup of tea, but it works and his manner is very calm and confident and friendly. He runs a very low-key, relaxed operation (but he's not all goofy with a bunch of mystical mumbo jumbo like other chiros I've seen). He's just all about focusing in on what's making you feel awful and getting you out of it. Whether you've been in a car crash, or have a sports injury (I believe he has several pro athlete clients) or you're just a dope with lousy posture like me, Dr Korosh Shakeri is the man, so do yourself a favor and go see him.
