there trying to extort me to pay saying problem with insurance but I already paid and insurance already coverd there part they call months later saying there a problem when there never was they are very unprofessional and do not know how to bill properly read more

Caring staff. Wait usually isn't too long. Doctors are wonderful and listen. Cleanings are always pleasant and pain free.

Horrible customer service. I've had multiple issues with them with my billing. They don't seem to know what is covered. They tried to charge me three times as much for the same service that my husband received and we are on the same insurance plan. They apologized and corrected how they put it in and then gave me the same price he received..but then I kept getting texts about a balance I owed and when I'd go there and ask them about it they told me to ignore the texts that it was an error in their system. Somehow this 'error' ended up in collections, which I just received a notice for. So today I go in for an appointment that I received confirmation on through text so I could get a cleaning, to confirm appointment times for my kids, and to ask them about the issue above which I figured must be an easy fix since it made no sense for the charge in the first place so I was just patiently waiting to be called up to the window. When I approached the window I stated that sorry I called but I couldn't get an answer (another horrible thing about this office) but I'm here for (what I said above). The curly haired receptionist nastily says to me "one thing at a time". I said "okay no problem", so I started with my appointment time. She rudely says to me that "I don't have an appointment for you". I said "well yeah I do, I have the text confirmation and everything". Which I proceed to show her. She then tells me that I don't have a confirmation because it tells me it was booked. (Since I booked through text it allows you to pick from multiple times, the first time I selected was indeed booked but the second time in which I was at the office for today i received a confirmation stating thank you for booking your appointment, it is confirmed for 3/24 at 12pm). I pointed at it and said "yes the other time was booked but right here is the time I'm here for, this says it's confirmed". I said "and what about my kids appointments that I booked through text is there an issue with those as well?" Because now I'm wondering if any of the appointments I made went through. She then says "you don't have to raise your voice with me I'm looking". I said "I didn't raise my voice with you. Why would I raise my voice in a dentist office over an appointment? That's ridiculous". Then I said "you know what it's okay just cancel it, I'm not coming here with my kids". She says "okay good". Then I left. What a crazy experience ALL AROUND from the fees to the customer service. I've never went through something like that at any doctor's office or dentist office ever. I'm a nurse so I am used to dealing with frustrated patients all day and it takes far more than a silly appointment mix up to get me to raise my voice. I would've just rescheduled and went on about my day but wow. Good luck dealing with them if you go there. read more

Dr Mark as they call him went over and beyond for me. Over two weeks of hell I had painful issues which he addressed. One in particular was a nightmare. The pain started this past Friday night it was excruciating pain . Monday I called the emergency line . The took me in fast . Dr Marc and his assistant who was so kind . Made me feel at ease . He worked hard 2.5 hours mind you I was in his chair , I thank God for this kind compassionate Dr . I actually slept first time in a while . No Pain omg how wonderful is that! I can't thank him and the staff enough. read more

Doctor Mark is a great dentist but ever since they sold to the Smilist the office has a lot to be desired. You have to insist they schedule an appointment to correct your issue they won't schedule an appointment without a pre authorization and they didn't even follow through with that. Because of lack of care for me as patient by office staff my issue extended to problems with 3 teeth. I contacted the office today to speak to office manager at 9:15 and 5:30 and no call back. Almost a week later and no call back. Still no contact from the Front office and Dr Patel abandoned care on me today because I brought up my concerns about the way they never would respond or call me back. Left voicemail with corporate but no response yet. Avoid this place like the plague they don't take constructive feedback on front office operations well read more

Sorry doesn't replace my teeth. Complaints are put aside. Trying to deal with this for months. Feeling you are forcing me to get a lawyer. Want my 10 k back read more

The Encore Dental office is great. The service and care from the Dentist is great as well. The girls at the front desk are great. If it wasn't for the new "smilist" group that has taken over I would have given a 5 star. The new Smilist group receives a one star from me. They send out the same bill twice in one week for something they should bill the insurance company. I look at my statements from our insurance company. It never matches what this smilist group bills for. It's happened on more then one occasion. Makes me wonder if they know what they are doing. Not at all happy with the new smilist group! read more

I had a tooth pulled here 2 weeks ago by doctor bland. Still today my face is swollen into my ear and jaw, I can barley hear over the ringing in my ear on that side of my face, I've been to the emergency room multiple times in the middle of night to have nerve block injected into my mouth. I havent slept in over a week and I've lost almost 10lbs. I was throwing up and thought it was an infection, The hospital told me that's a normal reaction to exceptional nerve pain. I get to the pain level of sweating shaking and throwing up. I went back a few days after the procedure, She was in and out of the office in about thirty seconds, Told me the extraction site looked fine, And between her and the other dentist they pretty much felt as if the pain wasn't that bad. Couple weeks ago I didn't know you could throw up from being in pain. Thanks doctor bland I have never experienced pain like this in my life. Edit- I called the phone number days ago, left a message and no answers, no responses. My life has been awful, I can't go to work or do anything. Edit 2 I left a message for the Surgeon to call me monday, It's wednesday no answer. I called the number to the response, Also no response. This company will damage. You hurt you and figure it out on your own. I eventually made contact with elisa bland and she will not see me at all. I can't hear, it hurts to chew, part of my face either hurts or goes numb I pray this isn't permanent and I don't even believe. read more

I had gone to Encore dental for implants and a full upper denture. Dentist was very good but their lab work was horrible . I was also told that the lower implants 2 would do the job . $ 11,000.00 later they fallout its just horrible and they are nocheaper then other dental places . I wouldn't waste my money if I had to do it again . I'd check around. They have miniimplants and alot more choices then I was offered at Encore . read more

From the start they were really good with our son who had all his wisdom teeth removed.

So 10 months ago had a very positive experience, this time for simple cleanings and billing, this place is horrible. My insurance covers 2 cleanings and x-rays per year. Encore bills my insurance and then you have to call them to have the extra charges waived ( for a full set of x-rays). They did this for my wife who visited in May. My appointment was in June and so was my daughter's. I checked before hand that the x-ray would be covered by insurance, and they said yes, but if there are any extra charges, they would waive them. Now I keep getting harassing texts and e-mails, saying I have a balance due on the x-rays, even after they told me the fee would be waived and was waived for my wife. The dentists and hygienists there are really good people, there billing policies just plain SUCK. I checked with my insurance, they didn't even bill my insurance yet for my visit. 2 phone calls to them saying I would be called back, and I took time out of my day to go to the office to try to fix this, and I was promised a third phone call back. Well now I am looking to switch my family, my cousins, and 3 friends that go there (11 people in total). Hopefully, they will realize you can't treat customers poorly before they go out of business, or maybe that is what they need to do. read more

First and last time at this office to see the oral surgeon .. it took me 6 weeks to get into see the Oral surgeon and it was a joke. Extremely unprofessional office. Where do I begin, I broke a piece of a molar that I needed fixed even temporarily. I had an appointment on February 1 2023. The front office staff left a lot to be desired. However, Dr. Patel and her technician were amazing. I need a significant amount of work done. We spoke of a few different plans and would pick one that works for me and my finances. I spoke to the woman at the front desk ( huge lashes) and was assured I would hear from her shortly. I never heard from the office again. I called on February 16 2023 and was told she would call me back. I never heard back. On the 20th of February I called for my x-rays. I was told i needed to sign a release form and I was never asked why I wanted them. I went to pick them up, i asked her to look in my chart and tell me if i have plan as to what I needed. She hesitated and told me no. I told her what had happened and how I needed thousands of dollars of work and they let me slip through the cracks. Needless to say, I was never contacted again. read more

These people are the worst!! Everything is fine unless you have a problem with their work -- then they don't want to know you. After complaining of having trouble with a bridge, I was told "not to come back"! They actually said those exact words. So they take your money and do the procedure but if you have any issues they don't want to know you. It's almost too bad to be true but believe me it is. read more

Dr Frank is personable, and efficient. He makes an otherwise dreadful process, very managable

Dr Frank Cattanese is the sweetest man in the world. Will do anything you ask to make you more comfortable. Super funny. Tells you that you're a great patient. Really cares about you and your pain. Just an awesome guy that deserves every best doctor achievement ever. The other dentists are awesome too, I just really love Dr. Frank read more

BEWARE!!!! Please! Stay far away from Encore Dental in Lacey and Jackson! Have a terrible toothache, they took X-rays, said come back next day for root canal, gave me Ibuprofen 800 mg plus Tylenol 500, I told them I'm on blood thinners they said it's fine, no it's not fine I spoke to my hematologist. No ibuprofen while on blood thinners! Additionally they should have cleared me with antibiotics first. But this meat market is in too much of a hurry! Next day, after receiving 2 shots of novocain they sent me away, Said I moved my tongue so he couldn't perform root canal, Not true, so I leave being numb all afternoon, next they tell me to see their specialist, their Endodontist, I go home with same throbbing toothache, they schedule me to come back weeks later, I couldn't wait weeks & my insurance only covers Encore, so I got in sooner at Encore in Jackson. The Endodontist, introduces himself by saying he's a specialist does these all day, and gives me 4 needles of novocain in my mouth at once just to make sure he didn't waste his time by giving me two shots to start, probably never needed 4 shots, than he can't find my notes in my file, than asks how old I am after looking at my gums, than straps my mouth open with bands of some sort and tells me I can no longer talk because he won't be able to understand me. Didn't explain procedure came at me with a drill & said I moved my head therefore, he couldn't work on me. My head did not move, now I leave with 4 shots of Novocain that lasts all afternoon for nothing. Two different days & all this Novocain for nothing. And the same pounding, throbbing, burning toothache! Now I have an appointment for end of November to just remove the whole tooth rather than a root canal somewhere else of course. Called my primary care doctor because the pain is so bad, throbbing away and he puts me on antibiotics and RX mouth wash until my surgery date. They will be reported to insurance company and dept. of health. I hope Karma serves these two clowns that call themselves Dentists and Endodontist. My physician explained that people can actually die from Infections especially tooth being so close to the brain. I'm writing this review while I'm in throbbing burning pain waiting for my antibiotics to be ready and start working. What a damn nerve!! Do yourself a favor Encore and SHUT YOUR DOORS FOR GOOD, no one needs to suffer like this at your hands! These doctors should treat their families this way! read more

Worst customer service ever. Went for an implant consultation in June. Was told it would take a couple weeks for insurance to get back to them with pricing. I called repeatedly for an update so I could move ahead and get my tooth fixed. Never got a call back. Was told on several occasions that Ashton, I guess she's in charge of insurance , was in a meeting and would call me back. No response. I guess they don't want the business. Now I need to find another implant specialist that takes my insurance and start over. I would never recommend this office to anyone. read more

Telling it as it is in my experience, love Dr. Mark & Dr. Mike and there Dental staff they are great !... as far as the Oral Surgeon department goes they will leave you for dead and make you feel like you are at their mercy and not to mention very simply dont care ! Happened to me 2x already, had a broken tooth which ended up with very bad infection, had to beg and wait a couple of days to get antibiotic for the infection after explaining to them that my face, ear, neck and head was in excessive pain & inflamed due to the infection, which we all know this could be DEADLY if not treated in a timely matter, they tell you "if its that bad go to the E.R." ... REALLY ???? how about taking 5 minutes and calling in an antibiotic ! Oral surgeon coordinator simply @#$$%^#@! a piece of work. P.S. thanks to the Oral Surgeon coordinator I had to dump Encore Dental in Forked River and go to a different Encore Dental who actually gives a shit about there patients. read more

My wife has been going to Encore Dental for a year for the same thing. Her "so called" permanent tooth keeps falling out and her partial has not fit correctly three times! Their lab leaves a lot to be desired and it is very frustrating to see her go through all this after spending thousands on her mouth. It's disgusting. Never again will she be going back to that place. We may even think of suing!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! read more
