Ordered flowers for my mother in law twice from this shop. The first time, they brought her a completely different arrangement, but came back with a second one as well. Neither was what I ordered, but she liked them & l appreciated the effort to make it right. This time, the delivery person got snippy with me on the phone when l asked about redelivering since she wasn't home. While l understand a policy, 15 mins is not "too far away" & the same explanation without the attitude would have been sufficient. l said, fine she can pick them up. I went to their location and picked out flowers. They were very helpful with suggestions, packing, etc. You need to make sure the flowers are "fresh" - I just grabbed a bouquet that looked good. However, it was dark in their assembly area. Upon getting home I realized some of the flowers were not as fresh as I would like. Prices are higher than your neighborhood flower stand. Pretty shocked by this business. I had major surgery and my out of town family send me a lovely arrangement - they wanted a lot of sunflowers so the arrangement would be happy. It arrived late on Wednesday afternoon. By Friday early am all of the sunflowers had died, despite that there was plenty of water. Sunflowers are so hardy too! So i called, from my hospital bed. I told the man i was in the hospital and he delivered and the flowers died. He told me I would have to bring the bad flowers back to him!!! When I said i could not (since I am in the hospital), he refused and told me to find a friend to drive the bad flowers over to him and bring me back new ones. I said I didn't think he was standing by his flowers, and he told me he didn't have time and it was too expensive to fix bad flowers. There are so many wonderful places in San Diego who all deliver to patients in hospital, no reason to use someone who can't stand behind their own flowers. read more

Worst experience and customer service ever! AVOID, AVOID, AVOID this business. You will be greatly disappointed, frustrated and annoyed with their service.Please note the date of this review. Feb 14, 2019. It had just today on this super important and special day, probably biggest day for all florists. Essentially, I put in an order 2 days in advance so that they would have enough time to prepare the order...it was one of the more expensive ones for Valentine's Day - bouquet of roses, balloon, teddy bear and a box of chocolates. The order was delivered without the box of chocolates. I called and asked why the chocolates was not there and Jimmy told me "I will call the driver". No "I am sorry we missed it" or "Apologies", nothing...Please keep in mind I am calling from overseas and incurring long distance charged...Anyways, so, I do not hear back from them for an hour, so I called back, again incurring long distance charges, where Jimmy told me that the driver had gone back and dropped off the chocolates...which my girlfriend confirmed was not true...Keep in mind...the locatiOn of the business and my girlfriend,s job where everything was to be delivered are on the same street, and right next to each other...So, Jimmy LIED that the driver had gone back...So, I call a third time asking for Jimmy again incurring long distance charges, and some chick told me to hold which I did for over 5 mind while incurring long distance charges. I got pissed off and hung up and called a 4th time again incurring long distance charges where Jimmy picked up again who I scolded over the absolutely terrible customer service at this business, who said they had just send someone over with the chocolates again and it should be there soon...And the chocolates were delivered after another half an hour...At that point I was furious...I had dealt all day with these incompetent staff, took time from work to call overseas and paid long distance charges....absolute disgrace of a business. I understand that mistakes do happen but it all could have been dealt in an intelligent professional manner, which the staff at this business totally lacks...I should be refunded all my money for this bitter experience; however, they most likely need it to hire a trustee for their upcoming bankruptcy, which is exactly where they are headed with such horrid customer service. Terrible! Lousy work and awful customer service. I went into the store and ordered a flower crown for my niece's First Communion. I showed them a picture of what I wanted and discussed what flowers touse. I paid for it in full when I ordered it, $54, and my sister picked it up on the day of Communion. It looked beautiful in the plastic container, but when we went to put the crown on my niece's head all of the roses fell off. They had been hot glued on! She couldn't wear the crown with just leaves, a couple sprays of baby's breath and big hot glue blobs, so she had nothing to wear. We were beyond disappointed and she was devastated. I called Encinitas Florist three times after to discuss the situation and request a refund. She said I couldn't get a refund and they could offer me 10% off my next purchase. I asked to speak with a manager or owner and she said she would give him the message to call me back. I have left messages three separate times with the woman who answers the phone and still not received a call back from a manager or owner. I cruised by this shop 2 weekends ago to look for something nice for my girlfriend's Birthday. She really like Star Lillies and I wanted to get some roses too. They had some really fresh Lillies and he picked out a dozen roses too. I also got a few pieces of some white accent flowers, snd some ribbon, etc. All in was a little over $20.
