She also traveled from Durham all the way out to the Outer Banks for our wedding, having never seen our venue before our rehearsal and she still knocked it out of the park. Through her friendly email, website and sample photos, I felt something more about the photographs she captured then the other photographers I researched. So many photographers showed the same uninspiring poses over and over again to the point that they literally blurred together. It was evident in her photographs the exceptional way A.J. seemed to immerse herself into her subject matter. A.J. captures people and moments, even the seemingly insignificant ones, naturally with such ease. A.J. has a rare gift for understanding the personalities, emotions, and underlying feelings of an event. She is very talented and creative. To top it off, she has the most uplifting personality and made us feel at ease! Our families and friends were all quite impressed with A.J.'s warm, friendly, and professional personally. She blended right in with our small wedding party, and it seemed like she was more of a guest than a professional just doing a job. She helped to make our day special and we will be forever grateful for the beautiful photographs!

My wife and I interviewed a couple of other officiants, but felt an immediate connection to Alison. She was very thoughtful, and considerate, but never stiff or overly formal. Funny, but not reaching for any laughs or reducing the ritual of our ceremony. And also so organized and experienced in leading the type of intimate ceremony we were looking for! After assigning us questionnaires to fill out with our backstories, Alison weaved together a beautiful, elegant, heart-felt script that both brought the two of us to tears and forced the corners of our mouths up into grins. Several of our guests asked how long we had known Alison, and were shocked we only found her online. I truly hope this review inspires some other lucky couple to pick Alison for their wedding!
