From the moment I walked in, everyone treated me with kindness and respect. The young ladies at the front desk were so patient, and the medical staff actually listened instead of rushing me out the door. The place was clean as a whistle, and although there was a bit of a wait, they kept everyone informed, which I appreciated. The provider explained everything in plain English, and I left feeling much better than when I came in. It's hard to find people who genuinely care these days, but this urgent care reminded me that good customer service still exists. There were two people in front of us when we arrived. The initial check in time told us our wait time was going to be about an hour. We ended spending close to three hours there. Two hours waiting. The facility was clean. The staff was friendly enough. It was just super slow. Cheaper than going to the ER but I would rather not spend that much time waiting in Urgent care.

Since my visits, I have received a multitude of paperwork, all of which carry varying amounts, information, etc. I've requested twice now that they provide a detailed explanation of what bills cover what services and I've gotten no response other than a friendly letter from a collection agency. Apparently, they expect me to send in sixteen different payments just on a whim, because they requested it, offering no explanation or detail of each amount. So while I can recommend the staff at the Center, I can't recommend the follow-up or billing department. They're basically useless.

In the morning, I headed to the testing site which was set up in the Archdale LYNX station parking lot. But because of the rain, they had to close down. I headed to the next nearest site which was this one on Tuckaseegee. When I arrived, there was a short queue of cars and it moved slowly. As efficient as possible to do one person at a time though there were techs walking down the queue to get folks information and fil in forms and talk to the nurse practitioner (over a Zoom link). When I reached the front of the queue, my sample was taken quickly and then I was on my way. The web site says one to three days and you should stick with that. However, my test results were sent to me in only 18 hours. That's very well ahead of their commitment and I'm very pleased. I will use this service again.
