She recently performed cataract surgery on both of my eyes. I would trust no one else with this procedure. The entire process was seamless and performed with experienced efficiency. She and all of her staff are the best. They claimed I needed a laser procedure to relieve eye pressure and sent me to Brunswick for it. On the day of the procedure, they put the wrong substance in my eye, preventing the treatment. I was sent home--over 30 miles away--without an apology or compensation and had to return another day. They acted like nothing happened. Every office visit I paid my co-pay, yet despite my last visit being in January, I received a letter in October threatening collections for a supposed 90-day overdue balance. How can I owe anything when I haven't been there in 10 months? The service is terrible, overrated, and far too expensive. The care is sometimes good sometimes deficient. Further that the glacoma drain that I was billed for was not implanted, but not needed anyway as my eye pressure was not sufficient to make a drain necessary. I called for an eye appointment and the exam was fine. But when I got tot part I was supposed to pick out glasses, the assistant barely helped me. I was really needed help because I have a wide face and I had my young son in the baby carrier. The assistant brushed me off and acted like I was a second class citizen. Then he suggested that I come back because he was busy. He was busy... I never came back. I will and will continue to pay out of pocket to Walmart before I ever come back there again. Never again. Side note: when I was waiting for an assistant, I spoke with a family of three young daughters who needed glasses. They were trying to figure out how to pay 850 for their three kids. The child has been complaining about her eyesight for months. I kept telling her her appointment was on the 21st! What kind of business cancels an appointment a WEEK before the actual appointment? The staff is super friendly and helpful…read more However, I got a new prescription and it's not correct. It actually makes my vision worse than my previous prescription. I told them about it and they acted like it was my problem. They had the optician check my eyes and she confirmed her previous prescription, which is wrong. After several attempts to get them to change my prescription to one that actually is comfortable for me to wear, and every time them telling me that there's nothing wrong with my glasses, I gave up and had glasses made somewhere else with my old prescription. I'll NEVER have eye exams here again. I'll go somewhere that will believe me when I say my prescription is wrong and will actually fix the issue. It's a dang shame, as the people are so nice otherwise.
