My little family and I had an amazing experience from start to finish with Ola Collective…read more As soon as my husband said he wanted to take our four-month-old and me to Hawaii before my maternity leave ended, I went to Instagram hunting for photographers. I found Ola, reached out, and was amazed at the quick response. Jorden was communicative; he responded to my emails within hours. I love that! I love the directions and guide sent to me prior to the shoot. We opted for a sunrise shoot on day two of our visit because a) we wanted to use my baby's jet lag to our advantage (he would be on California time and awake) and b) I wanted to get the shoot done before suntans/sunburns, etc. Another plus for me was that Ola is housed on the ground level of the Four Seasons and that's where we are staying. On the day of the shoot, Jorden met us at 6:30. He was on time and prepared. He took us to a private beach and got some great candids and posed shoots. He was so good with my four-month-old and didn't make us do any cheesy poses. Within an hour after the shoot, I had the proofs! I chose my photos and even though Jorden said turnaround time is one to two weeks, I got all the edited shots within 24 hours. AMAZING! For any family on the fence about taking photos in Hawaii, let this review convince you--JUST DO IT. And do the right thing--book with Ola Collective. Jorden, you're awesome!

The last time there was anything professionally photographed in my life was my wedding....almost 10 years ago. Jeanne made our mini session so comfortable and was awesome with the kids!! Made them comfortable enough to laugh and play, which resulted in both wonderful professional shots and amazing candids. Her mini session includes 5 images with options to upgrade....I loved them all so much I had to get more! I'm very grateful for Jeanne's patience and upbeat attitude. She's got me looking for another occasion to have photos taken!! Maybe I can convince my hubs to remarry me (hint hint wink wink). She makes people feel comfortable in front of the lens, and does an excellent job adapting to the occasion--for big groups and small. She is efficient so you can enjoy your wedding ASAP AND still get beautiful, timeless photos. Thorough review: Jeanne did our elopement during the pandemic, and our photos came out beautifully. We did a 1 year anniversary party/vow renewal/reception, so we definitely were going to have more people. Jeanne and I communicated what shots I wanted, who I wanted photos of, etc. Since we only had 30 guests, she came up with this brilliant idea to have her second shooter take portraits and candid shots of them. That way, their photos could be sent with our thank you cards. She also communicated the timeline beforehand, which I really appreciated. On the day of the wedding, she let us know when she was at the venue, and what time she would walk over to the hotel (the properties neighbor each other). She was prompt, professional, and always fun. My husband's family hadn't worked with her before, and she made them feel comfortable in all the photos she took of them. Based on our timeline, she had us take the family portraits after the ceremony. She was efficient, quick, and so funny. Everyone was smiling, we got through them quickly, and everyone was able to enjoy cocktail hour on time. It took about 1.5 months to get the edits back, and needless to say, everyone loved the photos. My father-in-law changed his Facebook profile pictures to the ones she took IMMEDIATELY. I think it's safe to say he liked them. I love how soft and dreamy the photos look. They're timeless and would look good anywhere. I love that the edits aren't too stylized and really captured how intimate and fun our event was. I would recommend hiring Jeanne for anything, really. Working with her is a delight, and I wish I could think up more special occasions for us to hire her... So I hope you will!

My husband and I got recommendation from a friend to use JJO Photographers for our wedding in…read moreHawaii last year. We are soooooo happy they were available for our destination wedding weekend and were our photographers. Weddings are expensive to plan and hiring JJO team was the best investment we made for this event. Firstly, working with JJ & Allison were just really easy and a lot of fun. The process of getting to know JJ & Allison (husband and wife team) was Hawaii chill and stress free. My husband likes to nerd out about cameras and photography and he knew right away that the team was seasoned photographers. The pricing was based on the # of hours they dedicate to your event -- and can be split across multiple days. We did a 9-hour session, 8 hours on the wedding day and 1 hour a few days later so we can take photos in nature and ended up with our favorite photos of all time -- many of them. We met the photographer for the first time a few days before the wedding and that was enough for us to communicate our vision for the photos, check out the venue (Cafe Julia), and go over the timeline for the day. Secondly, JJ & Allison are flexible, sensitive, and has a keen eye to details. Allison used to be in wedding coordination -- so she makes sure your hair and makeup and outfit looks great for every photo. JJ followed the men and Allison followed the ladies -- and it just felt like they were a part of the wedding party. They take pictures even when their eyes are not looking through the camera's viewfinder so they really just blend in with the party. And yet they somehow capture so many details from us getting ready, the decor, the venue, the Chinese Banquet, the downpour rain during our ceremony, the cocktail hours, the dancing.... from everything. Third, the photos were amazing! Just wow wow wow. We had over 1000+ photos and I love every single one. We debated a lot on whether it makes sense to spend more money on photographers or videographers -- and now I know, photographers. You watch your video once or twice, but JJO team's photos are on display at our home and your our bed. It's their photos people received for their thank you cards. It's their photo I see when on my phone. It's their photo that reflect on print the love I share with my husband, family and friends. I just wish we had asked them to make a physical wedding album for us. It's really hard to choose 80-100 photos to make a physical album when you love all the photos. JJ & Allison are a small duo team but a mighty and talented team. Hope you get a chance to book them. Next time, my partner and I go back to Hawaii, maybe for an anniversary or a family vacation, we are going to hit up JJ&Allison to take family photo.

He had a clear artistic vision that my husband and I agreed to right away. Our ceremony was running late due to the guests arriving late and extended ceremony but he made it clear he would do his best to do the best he could with the time allotted. We had about an hour and a half for our group and couples photos since our transportation was waiting. Overall we are both amazed at the photos. We wish we had more! The ones we were able to take came out beautifully. He showed us previews after our shoot so I was super excited for our 150 photos to be ready. It took about 2 and a half weeks. The quality is beautiful and worth the wait. Thank you for capturing our big day for us. Much love and aloha. Jordan&Damien Alvarez.

She captured excellent photos that we'll always continue to cherish. It's often difficult for photos to capture the vibrant colors that you see in person, but Nicole's photos were really effective at doing so. In fact her photos were at par if not far better than many other photographers we had researched throughout the internet.
