You will thank me later. I found Empress Acupuncture & Healing Arts while trying to find an Acupuncturist near my work and home. Remee specializes in women's health and fertility, so me being a man wondered if she could help me with some of my health issues. I reached out to Remee and was pleasantly surprised she could! I went to her because I was suffering from incurable folliculitis on the back of my scalp (infection filled pustules), edema swelling of my legs and ankles (water retention and pitting), digestive issues, acne, general wellbeing and anxiety, and help with weight loss. Yeah I was a really mess. My doctor had kept me on a diet of different antibiotics for four years due to the scalpel folliculitis, and it was causing a host of issues including a leaky gut that no western doctor or dermatologist would take seriously when I told them. So, I started looking into traditional Chinese medicine (TMC) and had read some success stories and decided to give it a shot. Nothing else was even working. After a consolation with Remee she was optimistic they could get me on the right path to get my body to heal the issues I was having, and she was right. I started out going to weekly sessions and saw some progress but I wanted to keep at it. I believed it was important to keep seeing her to really give it the best opportunity for her services to work and it did. Compliance is a big issue. After 12 sessions I have lost almost all my afflictions and have stopped taking all my medications. My "incurable" folliculitis is gone. I've been clear now for three weeks. This has never happened to me since 2008. She used a combination of acupuncture, Chinese herbs, teas, and dietary changes to get me better. Remee was beyond amazing. I highly recommend her. I had been suffering from a number of problems, including depression and other emotional problems. She was able to scan my body and pick up on things I wasn't even aware of and address them, always feeling a million times better after I left. After my first session I felt like I was walking on air, like a heavy weight had been lifted off of me. Subsequent sessions left me lighter and more joyful. Be aware that for some people acupuncture can be a very emotional experience. I found myself crying in some of the sessions, but it was more from a sense of relieve. Old emotions and memories emerged that I was then able to process and release. I believe that a lot of the sadness and anxiety we carry around is from past experiences that were never fully processed and remain trapped in the body. Remee's intuition and expertise are a difficult and blessed combination to find. I have gotten acupuncture before and had only moderate results, mostly just feeling relaxed. She also has a gentle touch, as others I have gone to have sometimes "pricked" me. With her I would often not even realize she had placed the needle in at all. She also has a very gentle calming nature about her that I really think helped with trust and truly being able to let myself relax and let go during the session. Remee is AWESOME! I originally went for the facial lift. The experience has been wonderful and my face is bright and younger-looking with the fine and deep lines greatly diminished. It really works! The most awesome part is that acupuncture even for the face helps other issues. Remy would ask every time if something else was bothering me. If I went in with a headache I came out without one. My 12 sessions are almost up but I have had such a great experience that I will be continuing to have acupuncture with Remee. She also does Chinese face reads, which is an incredible skill on her part. My daughter and I had a face read together and we both came out with a better understanding of one another and other people in our lives. The experience again was just wonderful!
