I called Jacob, and he crafted new cleats under all the shelves (even those that didn't break) that match the cabinet and shelves. Will definitely use him again!

I hired Rising Starr Construction to remove and replace exterior building material which had been…read moreaffected by wood destroying pests & organisms - mainly dry rot & fungus - as identified in Home and Pest Inspection Reports. Most of the work required replacing approximately 50 ft x 3 ft of T1-11 siding along several exterior walls and replacing trim boards at various locations. Josh Kesecker is the Owner, and Antonio Martinez is Lead Carpenter and primary onsite worker. After reaching out to Josh, he responded quickly to setup a time to meet at my house and review the scope of work. He was quick to respond with his very clear itemized quote, and he scheduled work immediately. His price was fair considering the work involved and level of quality he and Antonio provided. Josh is a third-generation contractor with prior experience as an Inspector, so he knows how to address corrective issues. He is soft-spoken and calm, very straightforward, experienced, and friendly. Antonio was a gem - a very friendly, skilled professional that works very hard and takes pride in doing work correctly. For example, the trim at a window had been identified in the reports as having fungal damage. When Antonio removed the trim, he found that the damage extended to a narrow 2" and 12" section of siding under the trim on the side of one of the windows, and above the garage personal-door. He proceeded to dig out and replace this siding before replacing the trim. Another contractor would not have included this level of quality control and workmanship and would have simply replaced the trim and left the damage underneath. These guys were very easy to work with, and came through, providing outstanding quality work. I highly recommend them.

We called and the owner Josh came out to investigate and assess what we needed to have done - within a day or two he sent a comprehensive and competitive bid. After we agreed to the work Josh returned with his team and within a several days created a French drain system around the extra room to mitigate moisture intrusion, installed a new sliding glass door, installed new flooring / baseboard, resolved some moisture intrusion / fixed and painted dry wall inside the room, and built an incredible post and pier foundation for our new shed we were having delivered. All of the work was done efficiently and with masterful craftsmanship; Josh and his crew were always nice and even cleaned up the work area at the end of each work day! We just sold the home and definitely made our money back and more! Can't recommend Rising Starr Construction enough... Josh and his crew are exceptional and truly the best at what they do.

I hired Brian to help prepare my home for sale based on a list of repairs and improvements provided…read moreby my real estate agents. Brian presented himself, when asked by my Agent, as someone experienced in plumbing work. He replaced the plumbing connections on top of the water heater; however, the unit continued to leak afterward. He was on-site for over eight hours that day. More than four of those hours were spent at Home Depot, and the remaining time was used working on the water heater plumbing. I later hired a licensed plumber from a professional plumbing company, who advised that the job should have taken approximately two hours, that incorrect parts had been used, and that the work had been performed improperly and unprofessionally. During one of his Home Depot trips, he was sent to purchase gutters for the house but instead returned with a large box of miscellaneous items (at least 20 insignificant items) that had not been approved or discussed. These items totaled over $400!!! There is no justification for treating someone else's money that way, with no regard for their approval or expectations. To make it better, he stated that he had used a friend's military discount card as if that was a good thing. The gutters were never purchased and when I returned the items to Home Depot, I only received a reduced refund, resulting in an additional financial loss. I asked him if the discount was charged back to his card and he said "no"??? I also observed him spend approximately four hours making a minor repair and painting the front door, which further raised concerns about the efficiency and quality of the work being performed. Overall, a significant amount of time was wasted, the quality of work was below standard, and I incurred unnecessary big expense as a result. The experience was extremely disappointing and resulted in both financial loss and delays in preparing the home for sale. He also left several tools at my home and said he would return after Memorial Day to collect them? Seriously? As a single woman in my 60s, I found this situation inappropriate and unsettling for numerous reasons.

He listens, has fair pricing, and walks me through the projects to ensure my expectations are fulfilled. I ask many questions, and he is patient and answers them thoroughly. I appreciate his responsiveness and professionalism and that he is very neat and organized, providing high-quality work every time.! Equally important is that he is dependable and shows up when he promises. He has done everything from installing recessed lighting throughout my entire house (no easy task with extremely high, slanted, cathedral ceilings) and garage, installing plumbing fixtures and lighting fixtures, and everything in between--even hanging my artwork. Most recently a refrigerator on the top floor was hooked up improperly, causing water to slowly leak in between the wall and down to my second floor below. It suffered a good deal of water intrusion damage to two door frames, surrounding walls, and ceiling. He did an excellent job repairing/replacing the door frames and fixing the rest of the damage. I am so relieved that it looks new again, with no detectable previous damage. Thanks, Eric, for another excellent job!
