Ridiculous! The DAV store was doing better than ever since the new manager took over at the end of December 2025. The store was clean and organized and they made sure it smelled nice when you walked in with lovely freshly rotated wax pots....effort that made a huge difference. But since April the store has sat empty and closed as they're looking for some random business to move in and make they're own profit. AND THE VETERANS? THE EMPLOYEES WHO LOVED THEIR JOB? THE COMMUNITY? DAV nationals could care less.

I have been in twice in the last month and they were incredibly helpful (and friendly) and made me feel like I was a valued customer even though my visits were merely to have batteries installed in watches and to verify authenticity of a pendant I had bought elsewhere (no charge!) I also remember going into their store *years* ago with my mom and buying some of her beloved Fostoria American pieces. I had a problem a couple of years ago with another jewelry store in Salina who had damaged one of my watches by improperly placing a new battery in it, damaging the watch and then had the audacity to try to claim I had damaged it (they wouldn't do anything until I contacted the BBB and then, lo and behold, they decided to make things right.) My sister mentioned CompuDoc sometime last month. All of a sudden I saw that I could not put the repairs off any longer, I thought I would try them out. I had to leave the equipment at the store for a few hours. CompuDoc did a very professional job overhauling the system without too much trouble.
