Rose was simply the best. Period. End of review…read more For backstory: I had low expectations coming into this because I had previously hated the headshots I got before her. The lighting was bad, made me look 10 years older and accentuated every line on my face. It left me feeling pretty disgusted with how I look. Off the bat, the experience is just different. You meet at cute cafe. Rose goes over what to expect quickly and you head out around the area to snap a few different backdrops. She knew exactly what looked good and especially tips for posing to look the most natural. At no point in time will you struggle to figure it out on your own (like my past experience). I love that you meet in this casual setting. It takes the pressure off to begin. She asked the purpose for my appointment which was so thoughtful and personal. I relayed that I got a promotion to a senior leadership position and I really wanted to convey fresh energetic vibes which she totally captured. I felt like a quintessential millennial boss! From here, you get going on the snapping. Chatting with Rose was actually my favorite part. It was easy, fun and honestly a great time. How many times can you say that about getting work headshots done?! After about 20 min and 4 locations - we sat back down to go over images and what packages I wanted. I chose THE PROFESSIONAL $449 | 6 Final Edited Images -- Duplicates in Black & White -- Sized for Both Print & Web-Use -- Additional Edited Images - $20/ea. All together was $49 (deposit) + $400 and I tipped $80. It may seem a bit pricey but YOU GET WHAT YOU PAY FOR and more! I loved that I didn't have to go into a stuffy studio. $49 deposit was added to this. It was genuinely hard to choose. I loved every one! I went with the ones that had a warmer back drop. I was wearing white and the contrast was just perfect. She knows what she is doing! I didn't expect to want to use these for social media but I totally did. Rose even gave me an unedited version right after our session so I could use for our company website without waiting - it was awesome. I am forever going to refer every person I know to come here as long as Rose is the photographer. Will post my photos once the edited ones are back to me!!

I came to Happy Hour looking for some professional photos to use on my LinkedIn. Unfortunately the…read morephotos I ended up with were not up to the caliber I would need for a professional profile. Garrett was kind and helpful during our 30min session. I was not terribly impressed with the results, but also felt badly about having taken up his time and so I paid the $300 with the hopes that the two photos would look better after post-processing. Of course, there wasn't much of a difference in the final product. When I subsequently reached out to Happy Hour Headshot to let them know that I was not happy with the work and wouldn't be using the photos for my profile, their response was to let me know that "from a technical and creative perspective [my] images are exactly what [they] shoot for" and that they could offer me a "discounted re-shoot". Clearly, I am at fault here for having paid for a product I didn't like (and I don't expect to get any sort of refund at this point), but I would certainly not recommend this service to anyone.

She was very comfortable to work with, very helpful in putting together a great time table for our day based on the things we wanted to try to fit in. And it actually was built in a way where we brainstormed additional ideas on how we wanted our day to go that we hadn't thought of sooner. The day of our wedding, she was so personable, encouraging, knew the right shots to take, and the best routes to go. All of our guests thoroughly enjoyed her happy and friendly personality, as did we. We received about 60+ preview shots less than 48 hours after parting ways with her, and they look so incredibly stunning. I'm a snob when it comes to photographers and photography, and no joke, Amy Galbraith is more than a pro. She's someone you can truly trust your day with, and hopefully we can find another opportunity to work with her again in the future!

I've never had photos taken professionally by a photographer so I felt really nervous before but she was super kind and helped me feel more at place and asked a lot of questions during the shoot so there wasn't any awkward silence. She also had a lot of suggestions what to do with my hair and hands so there's a lot of good variation with the pictures. After she took photos of me I completely forgot why I had been so nervous in the first place. I had a good time. The photos came out great and my family and I were super pleased with all of them :) Coming from the perspective of a senior who got photos taken by Amy, I approve!!

When it was clear they were not going to be able to accommodate the date we needed, we decided to put in a quote request through Yelp. Abdul was one of the first photographers to respond and offered great suggestions for the meet up location, as well as photo ideas based on some picture I sent him. I had quite a few questions because I was really anxious to have these photos turn out well- being pregnant, I'm not exactly feeling 100% great and was worried I wouldn't really like pictures of myself. Abdul had wonderful communication and was flexible with time. His prices were also very reasonable. Fast forward to the day, he and his fiancé Manisha met with us at our photo location and the location was absolutely perfect!! Both of them were super friendly and ridiculously talented, not to mention patient. It was very important to Abdul that the pictures were captured just right and even had us do some redos based on the lighting changing- it was obvious that he was passionate about his work. I literally sent him like 4 photos to get an idea of the look we were hoping for and when we met him, he had searched several examples that fully aligned with what our vision! I'm pretty sure between him and Manisha they took well over 300 photos and yet they still had them edited and uploaded in less than 24 hours!! Anyone who knows the work that goes into editing knows that getting photos back that soon is rare. My husband and I were very happy with the photos and are beyond appreciative that we had this wonderful experience. We would both 100% recommend Verge Visual Studios and should we be in the area and have the need for photography again, will be reaching out to Abdul. Thank you so much!

I'm a 45 year old women that wasn't in the shape I wanted to be but I really wanted to do this for my husband's 50th. Little did I know this would be for me too, as much, if not more. Nikoma, the fabulous hair and makeup person was so personable and really helped me feel welcomed and special. Cheryl came in, got a few of my ideas and was all direction from outfits to how to poses, I didn't have to think about anything, she knows what she's doing. I came back an hour after the shoot to choose the photos (the hardest part). They were all so stunning and the most eye opening thing was that they were gorgeous even before editing! After, once I had sometime to process the experience I was brought to tears multiple times thinking about how different I was seeing myself, in a very body positive way. I came to her for a product but I left with so much more. I can't recommend this enough. Such an incredible experience and keepsake.
