Having a reactive pup, I've done a lot of work with Kim over the last few years and have learned so…read moremuch. The Building Bonds online reactive dog course is informative and paced so that the lessons feel digestible and achievable. We also have done private training, including many BAT sessions in the park with other dogs, and a few group classes. Training with Building Bonds always feels fun, educational, and humane. Kim is knowledgeable of many frameworks for helping fearful and overexcited dogs, which is great for owners who become dog training nerds, but she will always go back to your dog's strongest skills if you want to stick with the basics. I'm so grateful to have worked with Kim.

I cannot overstate that Kim is amazing and highly recommend her. My dog is not only better…read morebehaved, but she enjoys being more obedient! Kim taught me a lot about my dog's personality and has taught ME how to get the best responses from her. Kim tailors the training to the dog. She even changed the lesson from 3 hours to 6 half hours because she felt it was better for my dog (a pekingese). Dog training is not cheap; however it is much cheaper than a ticket and fine. (In Tucson, a loose dog is a felony.) Her business is very professional. Sets appointments, sends reminders and is prompt. I no longer drive, and she was even willing to come to my home in Sahuarita/Green Valley at no extra charge. A great, great trainer!!

I took my 10-month-old Bernedoodle, Penelope, to PETCO Grooming on June 14 at 7am with Bella. This…read morewasn't her first grooming--she usually goes to Prickly Pup Grooming, where she's always well-behaved and treated with care, though their full-day schedule (8am-4pm) can feel a bit long. Hoping for a shorter appointment and maybe a lower price, I gave PETCO a try. Unfortunately, I ended up paying $30 more than usual and left feeling disappointed. Around 10am--June 14, I received a call from the groomer, Bella saying Penelope was agitated, barking, and even biting/snipping. This was shocking to hear--Penelope is a sweet, friendly pup who has never barked at a stranger, or been the least bit aggressive, even with my three young boys (10, 8 and 4) who aren't always gentle with her. I figured she might have been overstimulated in a new environment, so I came to pick her up, even though she was only half groomed. I was told I still had to pay but could return the next morning (June 15) for the salon manager, Jackie to finish the job. The next day's appointment went much smoother. Penelope looked great, smelled fresh, and even got a little bag of treats. She seemed happier and back to her usual self. But when we got home, my boys pointed out that there were small blood stains on her--initially, I assumed she was starting her first heat cycle and used dog diapers, but after a few days of seeing more blood (and none on the diapers), I finally did a full inspection and found a cut on her ear. It wasn't healing on its own, and after trying spray-on animal wound glue with no luck, we ended up needing a vet visit, a few stitches, and a cone to let it heal properly. I now believe the ear injury happened during that initial appointment with Bella, which might also explain her distressed behavior that day. What's most disappointing is that no one mentioned it to me--whether they missed it or just didn't want to admit it, I'll never know. I would have appreciated transparency, even if it was just an accident. Instead, I was left to figure it out myself after spending extra on products and a vet bill. The staff at PETCO were polite and professional, but unfortunately, the overall experience left me feeling let down. I'll be returning to Prickly Pup for future grooming--longer appointments or not, I know Penelope is treated with care and consistency there.

I am giving this pet grooming service a one star rating for the reason that we used to use this…read morecompany and was very nice to Monica the owner. After about the 3rd visit in the middle of summer we pre requested that monica trim our dog shorter because of the extreme heat. our dog returned home with nothing but a small face trim I voiced my concerns and she argued over the phone but said she can make it better or how can she satisfy. I let it go and never got anything. so yesterday my son texted her for a time and she replied, no thank you! no thank you!!??!! I then called with no answer I then texted her and asked for a date she asked if I was myself and I said yes. and then she replied no, I dont want to work for you anymore. I told your son so now I'm telling you, you complained about my services before so I no longer want to do business for you. so, I guess being the owner she reserves that right but, this in my opinion is very unprofessional and immature. I am also not the first person she has done this too. apparently acting similar to a adolescent and refusing anyone that EVER had negative feedback is her companies MO. I don't recommend to ANYONE to use Got Dogs because if you ever have constructive advice , you'll be fired for it so why bother building the repore. YELP already deleted my previous report about her and they claimed I was too harsh and personal. well. now it's fair, articulate and accurate in my, and some other opinions!! good day
