Outstanding therapy office. Could not be more pleased with the outcome…read more Highly recommended.

TL; DR - False billing practices, unauthorized charges,…read moreunprofessional receptionist, failure to match clients with therapists based on issues presented, failure to return calls/texts/voicemails. I called initially in late June or early July 2018 to set up an appointment. I left two voicemails - no response. I then reached out again in August 2018 and left a voicemail and sent a text. I was finally able to set something up via text only - the receptionist never called me back. They then asked for all of my personal information, insurance information and credit card information via text. I said no - I wanted to be able to call at their listed phone number and speak with someone, if they could only respond via text on a number not publicly attributed to the business then the answer was no. After several further attempts to reach them, I finally got through. I didn't feel good about the process and wondered if I was being scammed throughout. My first appointment was set up via text. I specifically stated the issues I wanted to discuss and I was given a therapist who had no background in any of those issues. I asked why I was scheduled with her and they said that she was actually very versatile and had knowledge and of the two with a strong background in the issues I wanted to discuss, one did not take my insurance and the other didn't have availability. Again, this made me feel not great about the experience, however I left the first appointment scheduled and figured I'd see how things went. During the first appointment the therapist mentioned she would be out on maternity leave shortly so she though she should switch me to a colleague. I again asked about either of those who had a focus on what I wanted to discuss and she thought it was very odd I wasn't scheduled with the one. She said she could continue to see me in the meantime and would work on getting me an appointment with the one who took my insurance and had a background in the area I wanted to discuss. Fast forward a month or so and I have an appointment with the second therapist. She was fine. I went to several appointments but didn't feel like we were making any progress and decided she was not a good fit. I discontinued my therapy visits within four months of the first appointment. During this time I start receiving charges on my credit cards in various amounts. My copay is a set amount and I had nearly hit my deductible for the year, so I thought it was odd I was receiving charges in amounts of $10, $20, or $30. I did switch insurance at one point so my copay amount changed, however my deductible was consistent through the end of the year (my company just updated their plan early). I let all of these charges go and just decide to assume the best. I never received a receipt or a billing statement. In January 2019 I received new charges to my credit card. My final appointment had been mid-December 2018. I asked what the charges were and why they were made. I was advised they were for appointments in October and December. I asked why they were billed then which was nearly 3 months after the October appointment. I was given no clear answer and just a blanket statement that I had authorized them to bill when they received information from insurance. They also had no clear answer as to why differing amounts were billed on various dates. On January 23, 2019 I revoked all authorization to make any charges to my credit card and requested in writing via text (which they acknowledged) and in a voicemail both billing statements and receipts for all charges. Today is August 27, 2019 and I have received nothing. I am filing a complaint with the Better Business Bureau, writing a report on Yelp, and reaching out to my credit card company regarding these matters. I am also considering filing a police report since I have never received any documentation as to what the charges are for, and since they are in varying amounts, I am not certain that they were all legitimate charges. In my personal experience this business is not about helping the clientele - it is about doing what they want in the manner they want to do it. I have spent far too much time dealing with problems created by this business because they failed to act in a professional manner by placing me (the patient) with a therapist who was not capable of addressing the issues I came to them about, failing to provide billing statements, failing to provide receipts, and failing to respond in a timely and professional manner.

DO NOT BOOK AN APPOINTMENT WITH DOCTOR KOGAN!!!!!…read more She's very unprofessional and unethical. It's all about the money. This visit was in May 19, 2015. My husband and I took off from work so that we could be seen by Doctor Kogan since she was our primary Doctor. I was being triple billed in her office and I questioned it with her receptionist Wanda. Doctor Kogan became very condensending towards me by stating that her facility is a private practice and not a medical center or a hospital. And if I don't agree with the billing I should leave. I guess she assumes I'm from a lower level lifestyle than her regular patients or more so her herself in the way she brushed me off and disregarded me. She must really think she's a Trump since she rents out a place in one of the Trump towers. She discriminated right away only because I wanted to understand the charges. I would had paid with no problem had I had those suspicious charges explained to me. Doctor Kogan also went on to mention that i was giving her receptionist Wanda a hard time when in fact, Wanda was very nice and also seemed scared when she was trying to explain the scam of Doctor Kogan triple bill for each my husband and I. Doctor Kogan had the audacity in bring up Wanda's business by stating " why are you treating Wanda that way can't you see she is sick". " um no Doctor Kogan I did not know she is sick nor did I need to know Wanda's business". I mean isn't there a medical privacy law that prevents Doctors to expose someone else's medical or health issue. And for Doctor Kogan to bring up Wanda's business to another patient is surreal to me. If Wanda is sick why is she working in your practice? Doctor Kogan is suppose to be a professional and she lacks all of it. She's not running a doctors office. Doctor Kogan is running a business and a scam. She uses her title as a Doctor to hustle down her patients. Please avoid buying her expensive supplements. They don't work and you can get a better value online. In a lighter note. What would had been a wasted day turned out to be a great one. Thanks to Doctor Kogan I was able to book another appointment that same morning with Doctor Saint Claire III. He has a beautiful office located right in front of the time warner building across from the Mandarin Hotel. Doctor Saint Claire and his office staff were very accommodating and and nice. My husband and I received a full physical and we were attended to very nice considering that we went there on a such a short notice.

I'm copying and pasting my prior review from her Queens office, which she closed suddenly without…read moreeven a note to her Queens patients. I wasnt surprised to see such bad reviews for her NYC location. Sad to see such a one time good doctor turn to this. I have been a patient of Dr. Kogans for approximately 10+ YEARS and up until very recently I have had nothing but good things to say about her. I've seen her in both her Queens location as well as her NYC location, but I must say, moving to NYC has absolutely changed her. I went so far as to recommend Dr. Kogan to my mother who has been a patient of her for about 2 years and was just informed today that Dr. Kogan was dropping my mother because "she has too many issues and the insurance doesnt pay enough"! I have never heard fo such thing! My mother has Elderplan AND Medicaid. Diana, who is the office manager has told both my mother and I that SHE is the boss and that SHE pays Dr. Kogan!!! Really???? Diana has ALWAYS been extremely unprofessional and rude and I would loathe to have to deal with her. Dr. Kogan, upon closing her Queens office (without so much as an announcement to her patients) decided to drop my insurance as well because "the Manhattan office doesnt take Cigna". So much for loyalty and respect. 10+ years of being treated by her and she can just toss patients aside because she has a bigger practice in the city? She knew of all my mothers ailments when she took her in as a new patient, she knew my mother had Elderplan and was in the process of getting Medicaid and now she rudely drops her? Also, the office tried to double bill my mother! I am EXTREMELY disappointed and disgusted by how Dr. Kogan has changed and I would never recommend her to anyone else again.
