I tipped the stylist $10 right away because he was very kind, but when I went to pay, I was charged $59 -- for just the blow dry. I asked the owner if she felt that price was reasonable for a 10‑minute service, and she responded, 'It's about getting the job done.' I normally pay around that amount for a full wash, blowout, and styling, so this felt extremely overpriced and disappointing. It's unfortunate, because I work in the area and might have become a regular customer, but after this experience, I won't be returning.

He specializes in Asian hairstyles and they always wash your hair with Milbon products which is so nice. He's pretty fast despite being meticulous. I paid $480 for my appointment and left with hair that looked patchy and not like what we had discussed. While disappointing results can sometimes happen, what bothered me most was the complete lack of communication afterward. I reached out to Masaki on May 13 regarding my concerns and attempted to resolve the issue privately. I never received a response. It has now been about a month, and despite giving plenty of time for a reply, I have been ignored. I did not immediately leave reviews or make public comments because I wanted to give him the opportunity to address the situation directly. Unfortunately, that opportunity was never taken. For $480, I expected a higher standard of work and customer service. Based on my experience, I cannot recommend Masaki.

I nearly fell asleep in the chair and woke up with the job done. It's very pricey but I was comfortable the whole time. So, great service but expect a sad wallet if it's not in your price range. That said, pretty standard pricing for the location. If you're going to bleach your hair, you'd probably get the most out of it by trying a funky cool color but I just like the natural look. There's a discount if you have student ID. Would recommend this place.

I asked for ash brown (which I usually get) but I got a way lighter color than expected and the bleach (he went over the bleach twice) really damaged my hair. On top of that, they charged me for a haircut I never asked for. During the balayage, the stylist cut/thinned (no idea what he did because he never asked me) some of my hair (maybe 10 "snips"?) and they later charged me an additional $70 for the "haircut." This really pissed me off because in the middle of my appointment, I even heard an assistant ask in Mandarin "is she getting a haircut?" and the stylist shook his head. I was really unhappy with my hair that I went to get a hair treatment (for the dry, damaged hair) and toner at a different salon a week later. That stylist even asked "who did your hair?"
