I need to update my post. I was super happy when leaving the shop about my extensions. However it's…read moreonly been a month since I got them moved up and they are already falling out. I take care of my extensions. Every night I put them in braids so they don't get tangled up. I also brush my hair before getting in the shower to also keep from getting tangles. I don't understand how they are already falling out after one month! I'm super disappointed! I just met someone in town who used to own her own shop in Florida. I had he look at what happened and she confirmed it was the way Becky put in my extensions. She didn't use the right tape abs didn't clean the old Tape off the extensions. I've paid a total of over $800 for these extensions which should last a year. And because of Becky not doing her research on the type I had they are all falling out after only 1 month after she touched them. I'm happy I now have a friend out here that knows what she's doing and will fix it for me. But I do feel that Becky owes me some money back for this.

I saw a bunch of stylist here but I came for Samm (2628220095) because I have been getting the best flat tops I have gotten since I left the Army. She listens and remembers what it is you like. My friend got married last weekend, and this is where we booked for our hair and makeup. My hair…read moreturned out nice, and I was happy with it. The makeup was a different story. Most of it had to be redone, but the most disappointing part was the lash extensions. They were individual clusters of hairs being glued on, and were supposed to last up to two weeks if properly cared for. In the time it took for me to drive from the salon to the wedding venue, 5 of the lash clusters had fallen out. Throughout the night, I had to keep running to the bathroom to try and get the false lashes out of my eyes, and by then end of the night they had all fallen out. Really disappointing to pay ~$80 for hair and makeup and have to deal with that the entire day.

I usually go the The salon at Midstate for my perms. As a retired beautician I know they use the…read moretop of the line perm and I get it there for less than a third of the cost at a in-town salon. The students are checked by the instructor at every step so I am assured of proper rolling of rods, prep and application of chemicals. One must be patient. They are students and few are up to the speed they will have once they graduate. My first perm there took 4 hours. The next time I was fed and emotionally prepared but the student had more floor time and it only took 3 hours total from the time I sat down in the chair. Although the students work on manikin heads if they don't have a client it is important for them to interact with a live person to hone their multitasking skills of conversation while providing a service. It's a win/win arrangement unless you have money to burn and even then, who doesn't like a well preformed service at a discount price.
