The staff and teachers are nice and friendly. The establishment is clean. But there were three things that I didn't care for- Firstly, scheduling can be quite hit or miss. I often had to leave a message or email, which made communication delayed and sometimes frustrating. Secondly, I recorded portions of each lesson. And honestly- the last lesson (after two months of lessons) was exactly the same as the first. I had to ask for the teacher to challenge my daughter and to show her how to kick her legs, not just say "kick, kick, kick... good," when she didn't kick! I wish they had a progress card with set goals. They had "scripts" for each week... but there was zero progress. Thirdly, the commitment to an entire semester was our breaking point. You can do month to month, but it costs more. So it wasn't a bad experience... but it wasn't great. And for the tuition... I'd really like to see the teacher encouraging progress- not stay comfortable with stagnation. read more

Went to a birthday party here for my daughter. It was super cute. They did a really good job. They have rules if your child can not swim from one side of the pool to the other then they will provide a life jacket. They also have toys and floats. No need to get in pool if your child can't swim and is over a certain age. The life guards really do their job. read more

I have to say that my experience is only based on a short 2 week session but I was Very impressed!! There was no hesitation, the teacher Gulia kept the class cranking along. Even when one of the students became upset. She spent time encouraging, coaxing and bribing. Yet, not an unreasonable amount that it felt like the class was monopolized by one student. They used floating belts, flippers and candy which was different than my experience at Aqua Tots. The flippers apparently keep the little ones from dropping their legs down and bicycle kicking. My kiddo loved the staff and the shirt for completing her session. They aren't the cheapest but you get what you pay for here. read more

We are in our third semester at Emler. Both of my kids have made great progress. I feel like the swim teachers really care about my kids and I love that they know how to interact with my children. They know what my kids need and the teachers are really good at what they do. All of the teachers have been great, I just want to add that Laurie Ann is absolutely amazing. She has taught both of them at different semesters and has always been super patient. read more

My nieces have always been fish, this place though has really broken them out of their shell. I was brought here thinking it would be like a swim school where you're out in the blistering sun hoping to find a shady spot to watch the kids but it's all indoors! The girls love their instructor and she really hammers the concepts in their heads in a fun and loving way. Like me, the nieces are motivated by candy and this instructor would reward them for listening well and following instructions. Each of their sessions were only about 30 mins but it was incredible how much the instructor was able to get in during that time. At the end of each session the instructor calls in the parents and visitors so they can demonstrate what they learned. This is an awesome approach! I am so impressed with Emler of Firewheel. I have been taking my youngest here for awhile but decided to bring my 6 year old in to start since he is out of school for the summer. I was so nervous to try swim class with my first born. I knew it was something we needed to venture into because water safety is so important, but it just made me nervous. This school totally put me at ease. The manager and entire staff are so friendly. The water babies class was fast paced but repetitive so it kept my baby's interest while allowing us to both learn new skills. I cannot recommend Austin enough as an instructor. He is an incredibly gifted swim instructor for small children. My daughter and I both learned so much from him, and I am incredibly grateful that we crossed paths. My son recently had his 9th birthday party at this facility. He and his friends had a blast and I was pleasantly surprised. The young lady in front was especially helpful the whole while, getting things out of the vehicle, setting up, blowing up balls and swords, you name its she was so attentive. The whole staff were friendly and courteous. The only con is the 15 min. we had to set everything up, wish it were 20 or 30 would be even better. Emler Swim school in Sachse is awesome! My 10 year old daughter has been here a full year now. She has learned more in the first 3 months than she had at her last swim school for the whole year she attended. The instructors are knowledgeable and the staff are kind. I love the semester atmosphere and your instructor is consistent. Amber and Ashleigh are both great instructors and I cannot wait to see my daughter at the finish line. We love Emler. The improvements we have seen in our children's swimming in just a short time has been incredible. They knew our names the first week and have greeted us by name everytime. The staff is friendly and great with the kids. The facility is clean and very parent friendly. Well worth it. We are very happy with Emler. My oldest was very scared of water and didn't have any trust. She is now swimming 10+ feet by herself. My youngest had no swimming experience as well and can swim 5-10 feet by herself as well. We love how they teach swim safety as well as skills so if your child were to accidentally fall into a pool they know how to get to the wall and out of the pool safely. Both of my children can now jump into the pool, turn around and swim to the wall, and get out by themselves. It gives us a lot of peace of mind. They can hold their breath for 10 seconds or longer under the water. We have had 4 different teachers and they have all been excellent! read more

My husband is always afraid to have my daughter go underwater but her teachers are so patient & awesome with him as well as he's learning with her. My son started swim classes here at a few weeks prior to his first birthday. While he generally loves the water, he has not always seemed comfortable in the water. Miss Allie has been great with him! She is super patient and works with him, not forcing him to do anything that he is uncomfortable with. We are seeing improvements, not only in his skills, but in his enjoyment of the classes. Emler of Sachse has been a great swim school for my 2.5 - 3 year old. What I find most impressive is that the instructor molds her teaching style to each individual kid in the class. The kids in the lesson all perform best using different methods. The instructor took it upon herself to try different techniques with each child until one worked. She remembered each child's preferred approach for every lesson. I appreciate the effort this takes. We're also greeted by name every week. My daughter enters the building and is met by multiple smiling faces calling her by name. As a result, she's smiling and starts her lesson feeling welcome and in a good mood. We've been very happy with her swim progress as a result of the effort and patience shown by the teaching staff. We've pre-enrolled our daughter for her third semester this spring. read more

It's not often I write reviews but when there is a place that really wows me I have to share! We started swim lessons with another place a while ago but decided to take a break (turned into 2 years). Was good but didn't progress very well. When we decided to try again, we opted for Emler this Summer. Right time, right place, our daughter excelled. I really believe it was a combination of the right time, a super program and truly amazing instructors. Their attention and interaction with the kids from instructors to management has far exceeded my expectations. We wanted our kiddo to be able to swim to enjoy the summer but Emler has helped her unlock her passion for swimming and is eager and excited to take the classes. She went from wearing a life vest and not very confident getting in water past her knees to full on freestyle swimming on her own in only 3 months! My one year old loves this place and I am so impressed by how much he is learning. I wanted him to get started with swim lessons fairly early, because water accidents terrify me. I will still watch him like a hawk at any pool, but at least I know he is learning how to swim and how to get to the wall if he ever feels unsafe. Water safety is huge! We love Emler! We have looked at other swim programs but have not found one that delivers this level of service for the price. You definitely get what you pay for with Emler. Great instructors who really love the kids and provide excellent lessons. Our 2 year old started as an infant in the Bathtime Babies class and she can now swims like a fish ! First, we came in there to get information about Emler and to see what Emler was all about. My kids want to swim, but we will not be going there. This woman who was walking around in some very unprofessional clothing and who was speaking very rudely to the staff, turned out to be the manager. She even talked to me just as she talked to her staff, like she was better than everyone there and I was wasting her time. This is not a place where I would want to be let alone let my kids be influenced by her. On a side note, there were two girls at the front desk that was very nice and I am sure that if they teach classes, they pay attention to their kids. read more
