Aren't doctors supposed to take an oath, "First, do no harm"??????
Well if Dr Nush took this oath, he certainly isn't still abiding by it!! I have been done a GREAT harm by him and his staff today. I just moved back into this area of the country & haven't seen Dr Nush for over 10 years, and so I was not fully aware of his current policies. Being new (or new since 10 yrs ago,) to this area, I also didn't realize how long it would take to get into see doctors here. Thus, I ran out of my medication that my previous doctor from where we used to live, had prescribed me, before being able to get in to see Dr Nush. So I was very anxious for this doctors appointment, having been without my medicine for a few weeks. So today was finally my appointment. I will admit that I have some responsibility in the fact that I was almost 10 minutes late to this appointment. Should I have called? Yes! and I deeply regret that now!!!. However it was barely 10 minutes past as I approached the reception desk, when I was succinctly and coldly told that because I was 10 minutes late that not only would I not be able to see the doctor today, but NOT EVER!!!! And it didn't come from only his staff - Dr. Nush was standing right behind them with no remorse on his face as I stood there apologizing, crying, and pleading for a second chance since I didn't know the policy, and he just said too bad, that's the rule. They tried to appease me (probably at an attempt to calm me down and get me out of their office), by giving me the # of another Dr who is taking new patients across the parking lot. So the receptionist walked me out the door, showed me where the other doctor was and quickly closed the door behind me, washing their hands of me.
As it turned out with this recommend doctor across the parking lot, while he is taking new patients, they don't have any openings until February!! Obviously that's no one's fault, however it's going to greatly affect my health, my well-being, along with my children's well-being (as I am a single mom and cannot properly care for them without my medication). Obviously I know that isn't the doctor's responsibility, however I am truly HORRIFIED by their lack of empathy and willingness to give me a second chance to redeem myself of being 10 minutes late, knowing my situation and the remorse I showed. Especially because I was not made aware of their policy beforehand!!!!!
In retrospect, clearly it's a blessing in disguise that I will be finding a new doctor because I would never want such a "doctor" to be in charge of my health care, but the situation he has put me in, I will never understand. His conduct as a "doctor" is not only completely unacceptable, but DEPLORABLE.
Regardless of his knowledge or aptitude as a physician, please be VERY WARY of his complete lack of empathy. And if I could give one piece of advice, it would be to Dr Nush, to find a new occupation.....for someone who cares so little about the well-being of people, he should not be a physician who sees and treats people, and primary purpose is to "First Do No Harm."
