It's hit or miss with the instructors…read more I went to a few classes, and found the space inviting, to a degree. I believe Lana (sp?) was an instructor, and I found her to be great. However, one of the male instructors I found to be less than accommodating. Jordan said during a session that was meant to accommodate all levels that he was happy he didn't have to explain or describe poses and he could just say them and we would know, which he said made his job easier. However, I am new to yoga and was struggling to know what different poses were, so I found that to be less than inviting and supportive. During a zen yoga class, I found the instructor's voice to be grating, namely the forced softness as she would say things like, "point your paaalllmmm uppp to theee skkyyyy." Made it very difficult to relax when her voice would slither, like she was forcing it to be gentler than it is.

My son, Ari, started at age five and earned his black belt at 10, thanks to the incredible guidance and support of the instructors--Mr. and Mrs. Dolan, Mr. Dove, Mr. Gayle, and Mr. Ojumu. The instructors are genuinely invested in each child's growth. When my son lost motivation for karate, they encouraged him and helped him push through. Mr. Ojumu even provided one-on-one lessons multiple times a week at no extra cost, purely for his development. This school teaches far more than martial arts. Kids can join the optional Storm program, where they learn leadership, responsibility, and volunteering while helping instructors. It's an amazing way to grow both on and off the mat. The families here are wonderful too. Over the years, we've gotten to know many, and it truly feels like a community where families connect, support each other, and grow together. We are so grateful for this school and wholeheartedly recommend it to anyone looking for a place that builds strong kids, leaders, and families.

I have worked with a handful of different trainers over the past year and have found a "keeper" in the Bounce Fitness team. They are knowledgeable, reliable, encouraging, motivating... and so much more! And, you get fantastic and consistent fitness and WEIGHT LOSS results. Jon is not only professional, incredibly knowledgeable (about exercises, movement, anatomy, fitness, etc) but he also has an incredible energy and spirit that could motivate a dog to do a burpee. His workouts are intense and hardcore, yet he recognizes his client's limits and tailors the workout to their needs and capabilities. In addition, his workouts are filled with a variety of exercises to keep you engaged- the session never feels like its "inchworming" by. Christina has transformed healthy eating and drinking into something habitual and doable. She holds your hand through the stress of dieting and makes sure you're on track with regular emails/texts and monitoring your food journal. Her ability to address her client's nutritional needs and recommend healthy recipes is unparalleled. And, her wellness sessions keep you "in-check" and encouraged. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED

I signed up for a package deal in late 2015 which had a combination of personal training sessions…read moreand monthly wellness advising sessions. Wellness Advising - 1 STAR - I had multiple changes in wellness advisors, even on a monthly basis (these sessions are only done once a month) due to turnover at the company. There was a gap between wellness advisors without a re-assignment. Furthermore, lack of transition between wellness advisors regarding my past records, discussions, and calendar availability - Measurements not necessarily aligned with my stated fitness goals resulting in poor progress tracking, in addition to lack of consistency in what wellness advisors measure. I do not have a reliable month-to-month comparison of my results. - Very frustrating experience overall. I cancelled my remaining wellness sessions by converting them into personal training sessions Personal Training - 3/4 STAR - The initial workout program I started was not fully aligned with my stated fitness goals during the consultation. For this reason, my results did not meet expectations based on training 2x per week with Bounce Fitness and 1-2x per week on my own. - The program was adjusted when I voiced my concerns with Bary approximately 2-3 months into the program. I started seeing results 1-2 months after the adjustment. - The trainers themselves are great - Colin and Alireza (Ali). They have strong backgrounds and are committed to helping clients reach their fitness goals. Overall, I feel that I wasted the initial 3 months following a program that was not tailored to my stated fitness goals. Most clients have weight loss targets, whereas my goal was to gain lean muscle mass, and my program was not tailored accordingly from the start. I was already in good physical shape such that I did not need a long ramp-up period to learn exercises and increase my stamina. This combined with the ineffectiveness of the wellness sessions leads me to not be a repeat customer after my few remaining sessions are completed. I have discussed all the above with Bounce Fitness and understand that the issues are being addressed. I hope that future customers are able to have a better experience as a result of the changes implemented to the programs.

This is my third visit for the purpose of attending the Virginia High School State Swimming Championship. Parking can be a challenge for visitors depending on timing. There is a lot of close surface parking. The lot was overall pretty clean with minor debris. The building although dated to the early 70's is in great condition. The majority of the facility is for the GMU competition pool. It was fully renovated in the past 15 years. The primary pool and diving well is for George Mason Swim and Dive team practice and competition. However, faculty and students can use the pool. They also have a Masters swim group that uses the competition pool. The spectator area is extremely compact, but spans the entire length of the pool and well. A 25 yard training pool is also offered. A nice size tiled in hot tub, sauna and fitness room is on the same level. The Olympic size competition pool is 50 meters with movable bulkhead, platform diving and well. The aquatic complex consist of approximately 145,000 gallons of swimming capability. The Long Course pool has eight lanes for competition. What I did not see was indoor basketball courts. However, they do have multi purpose areas in the building. They also have offices and classrooms. The locker room area is somewhat small, but was pretty clean. There were two malfunctioning items. A sink was closed off and a non flushing urinal. Day passes are offered to visitors for $10. This covers the entire pool and fitness areas in the building. 3.5 rounding down.

After only a couple months, I was seeing signs of relief, not just in the affected areas, but in many other areas. It's important to note that I didn't just experience relief from pain or the ability to manage pain, but have gained some actual healing and strength. It hasn't been an instant-fix miracle: the process has been gradual, but that's the Tai-Chi way: taking the time to build real strength, to re-orient your body to move through the world in a healthy manner, not just masking symptoms. I'm feeling healthier than I have in years, and am so grateful to have stumbled upon this school. Be careful going with your run-of-the-mill, community-center, inauthentic Tai-chi programs.
