I seriously love finding great places on Yelp and this salon did not disappoint. I was able to make a Saturday afternoon appointment that same morning when I called in. I was greeted immediately when I walked in and the hair dresser that I was scheduled with took me back to wash my hair literally right after. She thoroughly washed my hair and washed it well. My haircut was drastic but was very quick! Emilia knew exactly what I wanted when I said it and suggested what would look better on me. Another employee dried my hair. Her and I had some funny conversations along with Fabiano. It made the time fly by and I could tell these were genuine conversations and not the ones that some hair dressers just try to start just to break the silence. I was super pleased with my drastic haircut and loved how it was done! Another customer who was also getting her hair cut by Emilia commented and said she really liked it also! I even got a compliment that my hair looked healthy and I didn't even have any product in it. I found a mutual interest in Marvel movies with Fabiano and thoroughly enjoyed our conversations. I have been a customer of Emilia's Salon for the last 9+ years. Emilia does a great job every time. I can't imagine going anywhere else. Everyone who works at the salon is friendly and welcoming. This past weekend, I needed to have my hair and makeup done for my son's wedding. We planned to have Emilia do my hair and Fabiano do my make up. Could have been better. I guess it was ok, but not like usual when I go there, been going for years. Fabbiano Cruz usually cuts and blows out my hair, but he is no longer there. I have really curly, kinky hair and he is the only one that gets it right! When he does my blow out, it lasts for 4 days, no friz, smells fresh and feels silky. This time, my hair smelled burnt, and got frizzy same day. Not what I'm used to. Won't be going back there! Look him up on instagram! Curly hair magician, he does it all flawlessly! I don't know how I didn't find this wonderful place before. It's very close to my home and, now that I know it exists, I will be a return customer. Fabbiano was the stylist who did my hair. I showed him some references and as he was cutting and styling my hair, he was super helpful and shared with me what he was how it would better fit me face shape etc...than my current cut did. I am so thankful that he saved the shapeless near-bowl cut I had on my head and turned it in a very sleek and clean pixie cut. We had great conversation during my time there and, not to mention that this salon has affordable prices! I wasn't stuck paying way too much for a simple cut. Today was my first time at Emilia's and let me just say, I loved how well they did my hair! It's been a while since I've had someone do my hair so beautifully. I must have passed by this salon a hundred times and never realized it. My hair was shampoo-ed so well (my scalp felt great, and I nearly fell asleep). Had a haircut. The place was clean. Owner does not care about chatting, which works for me, but its not a great way of making customers feel at ease the first time. It felt like the owner didn't care enough if you come back or not. She was very fast, doesn't waste time. The haircut was ok. Blow drying and straightening to style was rough on my head and neck.She kinda made me feel like Im not welcome there. Price is somehow good, although it changes without prior notice, just like that. Next day, i found a couple of long strands of hair underneath(nape) and cut it myself and the hair cut was not symmetrical and you can see abrupt cuts all around. No mirror to show you how your back looks. Didn't take the time to make sure the cut is even,Symmetrical and that there's no uncut long hair dangling. It seems she's burnt out cutting hair, it was just a job for her not an art. She did not seem to take pride in her work. read more

Love this place! Took my senior friend ( with short hair ) here for a layered haircut. The appointment was last minute, but they were nice enough to accommodate us. Fabbiano is wonderful! He's very professional, friendly, and gave her a great cut ( and a senior discount ). I made an appointment for me too ( for the following week ). I have longer, really curly hair, and it's hard to find a stylist that knows how to layer it right. Fabbiano knew exactly what to do and gave me a great cut! The staff is really nice and the girl that washed my hair, also gives an amazing scalp message ( so relaxing ). Free street parking is on Main Street, and I didn't have a problem either visit. For haircuts, pay careful attention to the cut and style of your stylists cut and style. Make sure you like their styles because those are the only cuts they know how to do. based off one experience, C- More of the hair was cut off than I specified, and to cover up the stylist kept mentioning how long the hair is, cause the stylist cut too much. Omg based upon one experience, D- Color , the hair did not turn out the same shade of color I paid for. The hair actually looks like a few different shades of that color. You pay someone $60 and hear every excuse about why they messed up on color. You are better off buying two boxes and doing your own color at home. No education. Omg. Be catious !!!!! based off two experiences , B- noticed split ends and dead ends still in the hair after paying Great atmosphere, A+ Wonderful young personality They ask you the preference here, A+ Shampoo detail Very presentable, A+ The cleanliness of her station Looks great in the salon, but to maintain these styles and cuts are expired in 24 hours. I went there because the prices are cheaper than most salons that I have been to... However, the owner is a little judgmental when it comes to her customers. I have 3 kids and I work 3 jobs and I barely have time to do anything to my hair. I wash my hair 1-2 times a week and usually put it in a pony tail or bun because it's all that my time allows. She kept asking me why my hair was so fried, asking me if I ever washed it , if I ever brush my hair.. It made me feel uncomfortable and embarrassing because other people were there. She began to get frustrated with my hair and started to work faster in order to get rid of me quickly. I could see it in her face and her hard breathing that she was annoyed by my tough hair...
