I needed glasses, so I went to Stanton optical in Los Banos. Their sign said 2 pairs of glasses,…read morefree eye test, and only 79 dollars. Sounded good! The staff are super friendly. They asked me to pick frames, but honestly they are almost identical. I picked a frame, and went into the exam room. Gone are the days of an eye doctor poking your eyes and such. They place your face into the exam machine, and it does alk kinds of comparisons, blows air at your eyes, and voila, you are done! On offsite eye doctor checks the results, and prescribes a solution. Then comes the shocking nees...the 79 dollar 2 pair unfortunately only applies to somebody else, not you. Mine was about 217 dollars for only one pair! Apparently, the special only applirs if your eyes don't really require any assistance. I was disappoinyed to hear thst, but I really need glasses for my job, so I ordered the 1 pair and they work fine. I would say, they are a little misleading on their ads, but friendly and make a good product. In the future I will check to see if I can find a better deal, but their product works.

I was greeted by Tori and warmly welcomed to Turlock Eyecare. I was directed to Clare, an intern who examined my left eye and provided needed information for care. I spoke to Dr. Robillard who was able to determined I had an eyelid hair growing inward to my eye. Dr. Robillard pulled the ingrown hair with a hand held tool and spoke to me about treating dry eyes. This was one of the best experiences when it comes eye exams and if you only plan to do that then go for it! Although my exam was great, purchasing here was not a great experience. I brought in a pair of rayban sunglasses to purchase prescription lenses for them. The person helping me order my lenses was not knowledgeable in any of the lenses they offered. I was purchasing transitions and there were many add ons and offers and I had many questions but they were not able to answer or give me any information other than the small 4 word description that was on a paper. She was very kind and being as helpful as she could and not the reason for my bad experience. I ordered the lenses. I got probably the highest price of lenses because I think add ons are worth it, but I was very worried with my purchase from the lack of information I got. They took my glasses, glasses case. I go in to pick up my glasses and notice my original Rayban lenses were missing. I asked what happened to them and the front desk went to the back and tried looking for them but I guess could not find them. They then tell me that I traded in my old lenses for new ones for some reason. I paid almost 270 for just prescription lenses and they then needed to keep my old lenses for? You kept my 100 dollar lenses and charged me almost 300 for prescription lenses with insurance?! Really bad service to make a large transaction like this and not give any notice or information.

Wide variety of frames to choose from. Friendly staff, and Dr Shah is great. Routine exams are expedient but thorough. And great explanations for recommendations or eye updates. I see others complaining about pricing, but I have never been duped. Insurance coverage is transparent and they let you know portions of coverage. Frames are designer so they aren't cheap, but high in quality.

I have only ever worn bi weekly's and never been told my other doctors they were not safe. After my exams were done here, she told me to try daily's. I told her I would try them, but would most likely go back to bi weekly's since they are more cost effective. She ultimately told me they don't carry anything other than daily's but to try the daily's and if I don't like them to come back and she can fix the rx. I agreed but later that day they only sent my glasses rx and withheld my contacts rx. I called and they said they would not be able to give me the bi weekly rx. Had I known they were not going to allow me to get a bi weekly rx, I would have never done the exam with them! Be mindful of this before you book with them!! They ended up giving the rx as a "courtesy" but that was after days of trying to resolve this. They were also trying to charge me an extra "fee" because I didn't bring in my old prescription. But after I told them I purchased glasses through them, they were suddenly able to find the prescription in my file. I was also told I should buy drops and hard contacts. Just felt like a cash grab the whole time I was there. 2 stars bc front office staff was pleasant when I was in office! Wouldn't recommend...at all
