In the last two years, I have noticed for the last few years that there was tension between the Director and the staff who worked directly with the residents. Also, each month I would find irregularities in the statements concerning personal care items. Most were corrected when I drew attention to them. Then the billing department changed the format of the statement and placed all personal items in one category. No longer any checks and balances! Most recently, four terrific and caring nurses that I know of have resigned plus the sweetest Admissions Director left. She was the only person from Willow Brook that cared enough to visit my aunt when she spent six days in the hospital. On her own time at that. The director and director of nursing are never in sync and have forced the staff to lower the care of the residents. Please do not place someone you love in this facility!!

Residents get one meal a day, nothing extra and have to pay to take any food upstairs back to their apartment. They also have to pay a fee if their meal is brought up to them or anything extra. A package that may be left at the front desk, well they will charge a fee to bring that up to a room too! Guess they gotta pay for those new cottages now they are building! And....heaven forbid your parent have a mental health issue as most older people DO get. No kind of help here for that. They will not take care of your parent in the skilled nursing and or rehab. Will let them lay around in a wet diaper to get a severe UTI and they don't monitor them closely enough. I would never recommend this place to anyone!

However my grandmother had informed us she did not have any showers in that amount of time being there. We were informed that each resident would get about 3 showers a week. In her time of a couple of months she only got 3 showers in total... that's not where it stopped. My grandmother unfortunately had covid and awful pneumonia and the nurses at this facility treated her like she was overreacting. She was taken to the hospital after a while. One of the nurses there said they had a no lift policy. After my mom informed her she needed help getting her the nurse said "Well what am I supposed to do about it" Luckily, the EMT and hospital was very cooperative. Unfortunately my grandma was in the hospital for a week or so and was told she didn't have long to make it. They took her to hospice and the people and nurses treated her very nicely there. She passed a week after being there. I know that death is inevitable but her passing could have been prolonged. She also complained a lot about the nurses treating her poorly. She couldnt walk that well and the nurses never helped her change. Maybe the experiance for other people has been different but please consider before sending a loved one here. If one very awful act of negligence can be commited it can happen to someone else.

They did not see that my family member took their medication properly, this was a life or death…read moretype of medication. They let them sleep through meals. They did not give them showers. They let their skin get really bad with splotches. And they had their doctor prescribe medication to make them be like a zombie unnecessarily. I would not recommend to my worst enemy. It was an awful experience. They kept all money paid to them, saying they couldn't give refunds, when we removed our loved one.

Never heard a word. Orientation came and went. I went up there in person to find out why I was never contacted. HR told me oh they were offering a different orientation time for part-time nurses. Tried to get him to…read moretake meds that were making him sick and changing his skin-color, even after repeatedly taking it already... they gave me 100s of one pill claiming it was the same as another, but the one hurt him and the other... well it helped him but they limited that. Poured out one of his meds that they claimed was an emergency med... turned down his oxygen multiple times after he was maintaining well before. After the oxygen cuts he always got worse. He couldn't move much at one point after they wanted him to keep taking a new drug and they didn't seem to care, but after some swelling later on they made a big deal about the swelling even though it was no where near as bad as before, and then they dropped him completely claiming it wasn't personal. At one point the nurses manager Hope told me (and I have it on video) that she wanted my dad to do drugs and drink alcohol while on hospice so that he had a good time. Stay away from this hospice
