Technician told me he went about 100 ft and reached roots. He didn't have an auger to cut them so stopped but found out he told his manager that he went 150 feet, okay then. I'm thinking they'll be back Monday. Nope, now they want additional money to back come out. Nothing but excuses, "the sewer line was too long for them to snake", okay then why even start? He talked to me about this issue and said maybe he could get his father to come out. The father did in fact come out. He likes to talk and looked the situation over. He thought he could fix the issue for me. Keep in mind, he's telling me his son is really bad sick. I believe what he said. He even called me a couple of days later to ask me what all I had that was a power draw from the house, like dryer, hot water tank, etc. He said he was prepared to do it but only waiting for a price. Very nice guy. He was someone who enjoyed talking. He was a good conversationalist and I didn't mind talking with it. I did have to let him go as I had an appointment to keep. That's the last I ever heard of him. Maybe something more serious came up with the health of his son but I'm not sure. Given his attitude, I would have thought that if he had to leave to take care of his son that he'd at least call and let me know he couldn't do the job as he'd planned. He knew I had no heat in the house other than a fireplace. It was cold. No heat, no hot water, limited in cooking with a camp stove but he just disappeared. I called 14 companies, four came out to look at it and only two offered to fix it. Mr. D. was one of them but then he just disappear without a trace leaving me literally in the dark. He could have called and let me know something. I wouldn't have waited more days to try to find someone. The last guy that came out said he could fix it and at that point, I didn't even ask him how much he was going to charge.
