This place is a little gem! I took my 1 year old and she had plenty to do! So much she could physically touch and play with and some other cool stuff for older kids. It was nice to have a place where she could just run around and be engaged with so many cool things! The animals were cute too. All in all I'm so glad we found this place!

Price $12? Adequate to give moms a distraction. Need a diversion for the kiddos after 4 grueling days of sand in bottoms, windburn, and chafing? Absolutely.

Beautiful signage, fun "pool noodle ocean"

Hidden Gem! We went today with two preschoolers and we're really surprised with just how much there was to do! I guess I didn't have any expectations but the website does not do it justice! I took pictures of some aspects but let's dive in to the best parts: 1) It's so affordable! $10 for adults $8 for kids 2) There are lots of live animals here...who saw that coming??? We saw bearded dragons, birds, snakes, lizards, hedgehogs and sugar gliders. Unexpected bonus to the science exhibits. Total hit with kids. 3) HANDS ON exhibits- probably 50+ which means there is sooo much for all ages groups! Our preschoolers had fun but saw elementary to grandparents having the time of their lives. 4) Robots, Giant LiteBrite, Foam Blocks, Enormous bubble activity, 4 sided Lego Haven, Wind Tunnel, Dino Dig, Topography Sand Awesome Thingy, Kid sized Microscopes, Puppet Stage, Magnetics, Kinetics, Murals, Artifacts...I can't list it all but everything was working, orderly, clean and very very fun! 5) Added bonus...the outdoor area! Although it looks like portions are under construction outside it was really fun. There is a real boat exhibit which the kids loved and made for great photos, also outdoor games, obstacles and a fun sand dig area. There is a public playground next to the science center as well for before or after. Loved it! Wish they had more hours open to the public. Would recommend to anyone. Definitely set aside 2-3 hours to enjoy it fully.

There were a lot of reptiles, birds and furry creatures

This place definitely needs some updates but the kids enjoyed themselves and there was done fun things to do. I liked that everything was interactive. If your looking for something to do with younger kids for an hour or two its worth a check out

Here's an updated version with your added feedback included:…read more We visited Gulfarium Marine Adventure Park in Fort Walton Beach and really enjoyed the self-guided walk through the park. We saw stingrays, dolphins, penguins, manatees, turtles, crocodiles, pelicans, snakes, lizards, frogs, and many other animals. Even though we missed the scheduled shows, there was still plenty to see and enjoy at our own pace. One of the best parts was learning that they care for many rescue animals and help rehabilitate and release them back into the ocean when possible. It was great seeing a place focused on marine animal rescue and conservation. The park was family friendly and easy to walk through, with lots of close-up animal encounters. The reason for 4 out of 5 stars instead of 5 is that some of the animal habitats and viewing areas were not very well maintained. A few tanks had noticeable algae buildup, which made it difficult to clearly see some of the animals. Overall though, we still had a good experience and would recommend visiting if you are in the Fort Walton Beach area.

Even better if entrance and parking (2 hours) are free. Fort Walton Landing Park in the "FWB Downtown Marketplace" zone (aka "East Miracle Strip") fits all of those checkboxes. There are grassy knolls, tall trees, cheeky squirrels, many shaded seating areas, and a large playscape structure, plus bay views and a peek of homes and hotels on Okaloosa Island across the water. There is NOT a beach here (the white sandy beaches are on the island; this is the bay/channel side - other reviewers posting gulf beach pics are confused). The two piers / docks and associated boardwalk are unfortunately still out of commission after storms in 2020, but will hopefully be rebuilt soon. Note that dogs must be on leash at all times. The shops across the street include a mixture of apparel, gifts, art, and sports, so you're sure to find a souvenir or three to take home while you explore the area on foot. We especially liked Buccaneer Shop (local flavor), Run with It! (running and pickleball gear), and Coral Reef Shop (tacky t-shirts with Destin & FWB logos). The FWB Farmers Market is held here 8a - 1p on the 2nd and 4th Saturdays of each month, year-round. Holiday concerts and fireworks are often held here, as well. Check out social media and the individual vendor websites for current information on other park events. The morning of reservation Brandy reached to confirm the reservation stating that she wasn't allowed on our beach per the area HOA. She offered a location that was a 10 minute drive away. We had a phone call in which she turned down all options conveniently located for us. I asked her to reach out to the HOA to ensure it indeed was the case this season. She seemed unwilling to find a solution. She offered to cancel our reservation that I put a lot of thought and preparation into coordinating.. she said the situation was no one's fault which it was absolutely on her and the company for not listing our beach as a place that couldn't be chosen and for not validating sooner. I went to the trouble of validating with the beach staff that they could enter our beach and spoke to the HOA. I informed Brandy 40 minutes before our lesson of this and she responded 4 minutes before our lesson time. I requested she meet us for our lesson and her response was that she had another lesson and marriage proposal that day and couldn't meet us. She wasted my time, held up my money as it took many requests to get a refund, and no showed us with no prior warning. Buyer be ware!
