My mother was initially placed in a room with another woman who had severe memory issues. This woman would get up in the middle of the night and put on my mother's clothing, eat her food, drink her water and even try to get into bed with her. The staff would simply laugh and try to redirect this woman, but my mother had just had surgery on her hip and needed an environment of peace and healing. They eventually relocated my mother to another room, but then she could not get even a jug of water or ice without getting herself into her wheelchair and using her legs to get down the hall to the nurses station to ask for ice or water. The button by her bedside, that would turn on the light outside her door, would go unanswered for 30 minutes or longer. The nurses station was usually empty, with maybe one person there who looked like they didn't have a clue about how to do their job. Facility is operating with a skeleton crew of people that are clearly unskilled, overworked, and extremely inefficient. My mother would have to wait for over an hour for pain medication after being told they would return right away with it. This happened over and over again. The food was atrocious. Her commode went for two days without being emptied. I could go on and on. The occupational therapists and physical therapists were actually pretty good, but clearly this facility does not have the manpower or enough, skilled workers or managers to run it efficiently. In my opinion, the people housed here, either permanently or on respite, are only slightly better off than they would be if they were sitting out on a sidewalk in their wheelchairs. These people would be better off receiving care from family members in their own homes. I pray for the aging community, of which I am one of, because the future looks bleak given the current state of care in this country for the elderly. Covid further damaged what was already very fragile and I just pray we can recover.

Communication was not there... which I could see the frustration. Communication is so important with your staff... They are people too... from housekeeping to the top brass... The CNAs were exceptional, they worked really hard to do there job and they did it well with the lack of staff they had to work with... The nurses were excellent very attentive.. Except for one male nurse I had a little problem with when he said he gave me my meds and didn't then treated me like I had Alzheimer'... that didn't go well...he had no idea why I was there other than rehab... The facility is very clean, the food needs a major change... I ate a lot of peanut and jelly sandwiches... the food was usually cold and not good... if you don't have an advocate and if you can't speak for yourself it's pretty scary... I felt like they were under staffed and the CNAs were doing there best.. a lot of times I would wait over an hour to have them to come in and change me...that is unacceptable ...as I couldn't put any weight on my leg...so I was bedridden.. and let me tell you that's a experience I hope to never go through again... The rehabilitation was good they pushed me when I didn't feel like doing the exercise... made me stronger... my exit was interesting and I thank the director of nursing for getting the paperwork through for me.. I have had 10 Orthopedic surgeries in the past 4 years and most recently separated my pelvis and ripped my abdominal and adductor off the bone when I slipped in my garage. I started PT after 2 months in a wheelchair post-surgery. Pro-Motion got me back to the point that last week (5 months from being in the wheelchair) went elk hunting in MT and hiked 44 miles in the mountains climbing over 12,000 vertical feet. I wondered if I would ever function normally and do the things I love to do, but Michael and his team got me back better than I was, after Dr. Boone and the excellent surgeons at Proliance got me screwed back together. I highly recommend Pro-Motion Physical Therapy for your post-surgery rehabilitation, sports injuries, or treating injuries to keep you from having surgery. They will do a great job for you like they have for myself and my family. Thanks Michael, I am very grateful for your attention and dedication in helping me recover!
