I would not place my trust in AZ West Painting under any circumstances. The painting for my project…read morewas scheduled to commence first thing next week, but Chris decided to cancel our verbal agreement at the last moment, all due to a misunderstanding with the contractor, who has also been quite troublesome. After a phone call with the contractor, Chris voiced his concern regarding my payment(s) to the contractor for a city requirement before he could initiate the painting, essentially accusing me of failing to pay the contractor for the project. To begin with, you do not have the authority to dictate when I should pay for a service that you are not delivering. Furthermore, he was unaware that I had already completed two of the four payments for the project, and instead, he immediately took the contractor's side. Chris accused me without taking the time to verify the facts or engage in a mature dialogue about the situation, and instead insisted that I resolve this issue with the contractor. I tried to clarify that I had already made the necessary payments to the contractor and expressed my confusion at being accused of this, offering to provide proof of payments, to which Chris replied, "Okay, I'm out. Good luck." I find this behavior to be exceedingly rude and unprofessional. How ironic that they advertise Customer Satisfaction Guaranteed on their website. Business 101: Customer service should be provided before, during, and after the purchase of a service. I will certainly not be reaching out to AZ West Painting for any future projects.

I'm a Community Manager who works with a lot of vendors, and CertaPro Painters of the West Valley…read moreis one of the best. They're professional, knowledgeable, honest, and truly committed to doing the job the right way. For anyone scrolling through the negative reviews... let's just say some folks want champagne results on a tap-water budget. Deferred maintenance matters. If a community or homeowner hasn't invested in its walls, surfaces, or infrastructure for years, no painter can magically undo that with a bargain-bin budget. Expecting a miracle without proper prep or materials is unrealistic. Being fiscally responsible is not the same thing as being cheap. Prep, repair, and product recommendations are there for a reason. Fun fact: the terms and expectations are clearly outlined in the contract that is signed PRIOR to the job being scheduled. CertaPro has always been upfront, educational, and clear about expectations. When you follow the proper scope and let them do the job the right way, their work is fantastic.

Customer beware: your time will be wasted. The initial…read moreestimate was done solely from photos--which ultimately caused problems later. If photos aren't sufficient for an accurate estimate, they shouldn't be used in the first place. Communication from this company is extremely poor. We were told the crew would arrive Wednesday. We waited all day--no one showed. After calling and emailing, we were told it was a communication issue and that they would come Friday and Saturday. Friday came and went with no one showing up again. After more calls and emails, we were told (again) it was a communication error and that they would come Saturday. They finally showed up today--only to tell us the job would cost more because the original estimate didn't include some necessary patching. This is a direct result of estimating from photos instead of doing an in-person assessment. When we called to address this, we were told they could come out to re-estimate. At that point, we canceled the job. Our time had already been wasted for three separate days. If an in-person visit is required for an accurate estimate, it should be done from the beginning--not after multiple no-shows and schedule changes
