There were other patrons and he graced every party with the same attentiveness and expertise. For most of his reds, he is unique in fermenting the wine in used bourbon barrels. Wines we tried from these barrels were smoother, rounder, and with a bit more honey than similar wines from oak wine barrels. He also makes some nice whites and traditional reds.
