One of the major problems is that the pony wall had come away from the exterior wall. We also had mold in the shower under the caulking. Lisa's company found that the pony wall had only been attached to the exterior wall by one little screw into the plaster board. Jason not only took out some of the plasterboard and inserted a 2 x 4 to attach the pony wall to the exterior, but also got in the crawl space and attached the wall to the floor. He put it all back and it's perfect. Also, all of the mold is gone. He also worked on a couple other areas that needed finishing. Why didn't we go back to the original company? We found their finishing work was not acceptable. We didn't want them to come back and not fix it correctly and end up with the same problems. My pictures show the before and after. Another note, there was no stress put on this pony wall to cause it to move away from the exterior wall. It's attach to a walk-in tub that we had only used 4 times in those two years. Regarding the caulk, several people had told us that mold under the caulk was a sign it was not installed properly, and they had never seen that bad of a condition UNDER the caulk to occur in such a short time. As a responsible home owner, we also got quotes from other companies. I sent the estimator an email telling him we had chosen another company for the roof job but hasnt received his quote fir the basement. He responded that he was waiting on my decision on the roof and that Head's would pass on even quoting on the basement project. I feel this is unprofessional and vindictive. Their price on the roof was 10% higher than one of the other companies we received a quote from.

His response was to laugh at me and call me crazy. I teared up cause I haven't felt so bullied in my adult years and told him that was rude and he shouldn't call other crazy or laugh at them, he replied it's jus a saying and I said okay it's just a saying then what if I say "you're a bitch" we was driving to his job site leaving all my belongings at his house sixty miles from the job, he then said I will pack ur stuff and bring it to u. He made me wait over a week to get my clothes, medications, and forms of id. When I did get them he didn't return a few things and one of those things was a dual fast speed wall charger he'd borrowed the nite before, it's costed $22. I messaged and he said he get it to me so I told him I would be in town on a specific date and would only be able to get it on that day. I reminded him to not forget on the specific date I will be needing to get it and no text back until four days later. I waited in town for three days he know I have no place to stay on the forth I left town to go stay with my daughter since I'm also recovering from a major surgery. I've messaged and told him since he went threw all my belongings and kept things he knew I needed and also withheld wages I was going to report the situation. He looks for "people to help" as he stated, but his actions tell me he's looking for women who needs help or are homeless to take advantage of. If he wouldn't have smoked meth so much he prolly would've made better choices. I want other to know I needed the help and he jus made it as hard as he could on me knowing I'd jus had major surgery, needed a place, shower, and a friend. He uses his business to lure women saying he can help them with cash, I'm that woman that works with my hands, I don't do under jobs to keep this pg. I sure needed that ten bucks an hr he said he'd pay me but it's now been two months and still nothing, no wall charger that he claims he can afford or compensation for my work. CAREFUL, He smoked meth and leave his paraphernalia where he works, so if it your house he doesn't care bout u or ur children. Don't trust u won't have it in ur property when he leaves the work site. Chapman did an excellent job on installing our roof. Chapman started and completed the job when…read morethey said they would. Added a new roof vent for better circulation without being asked. They allowed us to use their dumpster to get rid of some of our junk. And finally, something being stored on our rafters ( that we were unaware of) fell due to the vibration of all the hammering. It made a small hole in our ceiling. This was totally not their fault at all but they took care of it at no extra charge!!! The hole was fixed beautifully within 3 days (only because layered plastering has to dry)!!

The first and most important part of the process is to ensure that you have complete trust in your builder and their team. Your builder is the person who is going to bring your vision, dream and place of security to life. They need to be a good listener, offer suggestions knowing who their audience is and willing to be flexible while keeping the process moving forward. All of this occurred while working with Mr. Chapman, Steve Dossett and Tony Armstrong. We started our build remotely which adds an extra layer of complexity, however we found that out of the 4 homes we have built throughout our lives this was the easiest. Each team member brought to the table an expertise within their own abilities that assisted us with decision making structurally, design wise and adding some extras as the build move forward. We had some specific asks regarding features that we wanted completed before we closed so that when we moved in we would have all the extras we wanted completed. Chris Chapman and his team were very willing to allow us to have our closets organized, our garage floor coated and our fence put in and completed. I have never known any builder to allow this to go on prior to closing. What a blessing. Tony and Steve received many phone calls from us never hesitating to answer our questions, concerns and solving our issues. We met friendly team members along the way like Adyson and Luke as well as all the other players who assisted in creating our dream home. If you are thinking about building a home or even tossing around the idea of downsizing/upsizing your house then working with the Chapman team is the right choice. I would challenge anyone to find another builder that would come close to our experience. You will not be disappointed working with any of the people associated with this company.
