(My husband doesn't like wings so the chicken wasn't eaten). Unfortunately, management still charged us for the white-meat upgrade we never received. While I understand their policy, it was disappointing not to see any adjustment offered. This experience was definitely not worth a bill over $50.

Yes, you read that right...a personalized, hand written thank you note! To be honest, this lovely boutique historic hotel is far from fancy but what it lacks in glamour is made up in spades by the friendliness of all the employees. These folks will go out of their way to try to accommodate you. They are obviously working their tails off to make a nice hotel, one which will undoubtedly provide every comfort. The room that I stayed in and the others I saw still have quite a way to go in terms of style and comfort but I am confident that they are doing their absolute best to improve every bit. Each member of the staff is putting in crazy hours and energy! I was truly overwhelmed by a couple of things; The chef was the only one there when we checked in and he handled it all. I later learned that in addition to manning the ship when needed at the hotel he does several other jobs outside the hotel. His cooking is amazing! The manager also works mad hours with so much responsibility. A friend/all around handy man of the hotel hung out with us a bit on the patio and we learned that he does a tremendous amount to help there in addition to his other jobs. They were all just super friendly! I can't wait to see what's in store on a return visit.

I ate all the pasta and told our server about the chicken being like rubber and she stated that she's mentioned that exact thing to the cooks but that maybe if a customer complains they would possibly listen.
