Harvey took the time, on multiple visits and multiple phone calls, to explain products and ideas. He went out of his way to assist with planning and estimating. He also worked with our builder to find the most convenient delivery time and method, and for payment. We can't thank Harvey enough for all of his help. He's an excellent representative of his company!

Unfortunately, our experience with Florida State Paving has been extremely disappointing and…read morefrustrating. We hired the company to complete a parking lot project for small community church. What should have been a straightforward project has required us to address essentially the SAME concerns on FOUR separate occasions. Most recently, I drove approximately 1 1/2 hours to the church specifically to meet with their team and resolve issues concerning the parking lot layout. I spent approximately 40 minutes walking the property with them, discussing the layout in detail and making sure everyone understood what had been agreed upon. Despite that effort, the work that followed did not reflect what we had just discussed and, in our view, resulted in a layout that was nonfunctional for the church and its members. That single incident resulted in approximately 4 1/2 hours of my time being spent traveling, meeting, and attempting to resolve an issue that should have already been addressed. Mistakes can happen on any project. My concern is not one mistake--it is the PATTERN: discuss the problem, agree upon a solution, and then receive something different from what was discussed. We have made multiple good-faith attempts to work directly with Florida State Paving to resolve these concerns. Unfortunately, after four separate attempts involving substantially the same issues, we have reached the point where we are seeking outside assistance. Based solely on our experience, I strongly encourage anyone considering this company to GET EVERYTHING IN WRITING. Clearly document the scope of work, specifications, layout, agreed-upon changes, and completion expectations. I would also recommend closely monitoring the work throughout the project rather than assuming that verbal discussions or agreements will be followed. We expected a professional experience and a finished product consistent with what was agreed upon. Unfortunately, that has not been our experience.

After a few…read morevisits to the property, they sent us a survey with the fence design, which we submitted to the HOA for approval. Once the HOA returned it as approved, we agreed on a service date and made the down payment as agreed. They sent us photos of the completed work, and we noticed it was different from what we had contracted. When we questioned this, they said that our tenant, who lives on the property, had asked them to change what we had agreed upon and that they needed to receive the remaining payment. We had to resubmit the survey to the HOA for new approval and then paid the remaining amount. In short, a completely unprofessional company, look for another company to avoid headaches.

Arrived took measurements on Saturday and send would get me a quote Monday. I thought that was a little strange since 4 other companies were able to take measurements and give me a quote on-site. But whatever I thought. Then Monday came no quote I texted and was told it would be there by end of day by Eduardo. Then get a text saying sorry Edgar is partner needs to review the quote and would get it Tuesday. Well, guess what no quote Tuesday and end of day Wednesday I had to finally reach out to them and say I would be moving on since I wasn't getting the quote then Eduardo finally responds he would get it to me. Then they send a quote DOUBLE the price of any quote I have received. Very unprofessional, If this is how they operate I would stay away and go with other options. Plus they have to Google listings, One is JJ Brick Pavers and the other is JJ Brick Pavers LLC. All around a waste of time!
