I did some Yelp research and decided to go with VN Handyman based on all of the positive responses on Yelp. They showed up promptly to my house and gave me a very fair estimate to make the repairs. I even had them quote me on some additional work I needed done around the house and they gave me a good price. These guys showed up on time and got to work right away. I monitored their progress to ask questions and they kept me informed throughout. These 2 brothers did a great job and I even asked them to come back in a few weeks to do some tile work. I highly recommend their service. They do the job right and charge reasonable rates. Before you call a contractor, consider calling VN Handyman. It was well worth it for me!

Vic told me that the entire job would cost $2800 Then halfway through the work insisted it was $3400 A little after that they claimed it was going to be $6000 When I pushed back against their tile choices (I asked for blue, they brought grey), they screamed in my face that it was a great color choice and insisted I look at the grey tiles in the sunlight. I am a single female who lives alone and had two large men yelling at me in my home was horrifying. But even more terrifying? The grey tile in the sunlight. They didn't finish the job -- I am going with someone else immediately.

I used them to repair some water damage to my ceiling and to re-caulk my tub. Daryl did the caulking on the tub and did a great job. Jose came and repaired/painted the ceiling. He showed up on time, did an excellent job, and left no mess. I have since used them again for another small project of moving power from a wall light to a standard outlet, with patching and painting. Their electrician did exactly as I asked, and Jose again did a great job painting. He initially did one coat, and I requested that a second be done, and they worked around my schedule and had Jose come back out to paint no problem. Liza was able to provide me with a quote via email, and she responds to emails quickly. I will definitely use them for future projects. Their prices are reasonable, and they take on the small tasks that most contractors don't want to bother with. I'm pretty sure Daryl is a licensed contractor. They also worked on Saturdays for me which is a must and a HUGE plus.

They provide a real contract, with a payment schedule. There is a staff to respond to your emails and calls. The email system is very helpful if you're a busy person and don't have time to make phone calls. I would send emails in the middle of the night and have my answer by the morning (or sometimes in the middle of the night if Liza was up late). I think their prices are higher than just hiring a handyman but as they say, "You get what you pay for." CMRS is licensed, insured, bonded and experienced, things that should really figure into your decision making process. Daryl and his crew (Randy, Edwin and Jose) were all polite, hardworking and professional. Jose does great drywall and is extra tidy. I never met Liza or Gretchen in person but they were both great communicators on the phone and through emails. Our project turned out much nicer than we ever imagined, I won't hesitate to hire CMRS for my next project!

I read some of the reviews about this company and seems like a lot of them are pretty unfair. Some…read moresaid they were rude on the phone, but have NEVER used their services. I think if you're going to comment about a company, you should first use their service and then complain. The fact of the matter is they are a GATE company, and you should judge them by how well they are priced and how well they provide the service of fixing or installing gates. The reason I say this is because I have used several gate companies, and they are extremely nice up front but have charged exorbitant prices and provided lackluster services, so I appreciate when I get someone that knows what they are doing providing competitive prices. After saying all this, here's what I have to say. I had problems with my gate for close to a year, and have had a gate company come to my house charge exorbitant prices and replaced parts that didn't even need to be replaced and it still didn't work correctly. After I contacted RTM, I talked with Ricky Sr. and he sent over Ricky Jr. the next day. After Ricky got here, he diagnosed the problem, lubed everything up, and now it's working like a charm. Ricky Jr. was extremely knowledgeable and professional. I have him on my contacts list just in case I need his help! I do have to say it's difficult to reach someone because it's a small operation and I think they have lost their receptionist...but it's worth calling them a few times to get a knowledgeable and honest person.
