The salon is beautiful, modern, peaceful, relaxing, tasteful, unimposing and European. Lana does an amazing job at creating a luxurious but not overwhelming atmosphere and treats you to tea or coffee, a little snack. Just lovely! But the real treasure and what makes this boutique salon so unique is Lana's skill and artful mastery. She takes time with every client, listens closely and does a beautiful job of interpreting what I want everytime-even when I have a hard time communicating what I want or don't even know myself. She styles you to your personality and life style. I used to get haircuts every 4 weeks and was never really satisfied but now I go to her every 2 months or sometimes even longer and her cut and style really hold up even as your hair grows out of it, it still looks fabulous. She's amazing at balayage, which is like a very subtle and natural looking ombré and has a unique technique that yields a beautiful result that never really grows out (unlike highlights which require so much maintenance) because she does not color near the root. While her fees reflect the time and effort she devotes to you and her experience as a stylist it is so worth it and will actually end up being a wash if you're the type that gets regular cut and style at an average salon. I have only been going to her for a year and a half but I know I'm a lifer and would never let anyone else touch my hair! UPDATE: time and time again people ask if I just got a haircut - even when it's been months (and my hair is a short asymmetric bob). I LOVE Lana and sing her praises to anyone who will listen. My hair and makeup came out looking exactly how I wanted it and stayed on perfectly throughout the whole night ! I'm completely clueless when it comes to makeup and only had a vague idea of what I even wanted (a natural look with a good contour and highlight) and I was walked through the whole process explaining what products were being used and again my makeup came out perfectly! Let me start by saying this is no reflection of the stylist because she is inexperienced. This is…read morethe reflection of Pink Soda for hiring an inexperienced stylist right out of beauty school. If you are paying $75 for a service not including a tip you would think the stylists would have at least a year of experience. All I wanted was 2 inches off my hair & it styled straight. The stylist washed my hair. After that she began brushing my hair very rough. She didn't brush my hair all the way through. I still had tangles & knots when she started cutting. Then she began cutting my hair. It took her about 40 minutes to cut my hair. After that she gave me blowout. At one point she kept the blow dryer so close to my scalp for too long I had to pull away the burn was so painful. I had a burn that has now scabbed over in that spot. The stylist never gave me a mirror to look at what the back of my hair looked like when she was finished. Now I know why. I actually didn't know what the back of my head looked until this picture was taken. I noticed a giant chunk of hair was much longer in my ponytail which made me question. Now I have to go to another salon & pay them to fix half of my head. My suggestion if you are going to go to this salon: stick to a blowout but beware.
