Please, be careful with your reviews because it could happen that Elumbus cancels your flight without you wanting it. They take reviews personal it seems. I received a responds from the manager after I left my first review regarding how rude their customer service is and this just says it all: "If and when your query is not answerd on time, we presume that you exercise patience as we only also have other things to do other than answering emails and chatting with pax. We cancelled your booking as we would not be able to serve your query better, and that you already have put that into words online. Please check your new flights elsewhere." Elumbus saved me 500 Euro on my round-trip plane tickets! :) After submitting my credit card info and order for the tickets, I immediately received the email that requested me to send a copy of my ID and the written and signed statement, including the following sentence: " I hereby authorize the debit of 469.64 (amount of ticket(s)/reservation) for booking XXXXXX (booking number) from my credit card" After I sent the copy of my ID (driver's license) and my written and signed statement, things went into action fast. I also requested a vegetarian/vegan meal for the flights. I received my ticket information and a confirmation of the meal preference update for all flights. I signed into the American Airlines website to confirm everything for myself and chose my seating preferences. Everything is in order and I'm ready for my flights. I really appreciate the ease of calling and speaking with someone over the phone, as well. It took less than a minute to speak with someone both times that I called and the hold music was entertaining. The customer service is really top notch. The replies to my emails arrived quickly. All questions and concerns were addressed and I couldn't be more pleased with the quality of service I've received. I will be using Elumbus for all future travel reservations. read more

Fraud, Cheat and Rude from Elumbus! Through worlds of flights website, I checked and compare a business class ticker from ZRH to BKK. I got the price of 2242 Eur and once I picked this quotation. The web sent me to Elumbus website for further booking process. From its own web of Elumbus, I got even cheaper price with small writing of this price was included all fares and tax. From its own web, it showed 2237.43 EUR. So I clicked confirm to book the ticket, Thanks God I did not choose to pay with credit card. I chose method to pay by normal invoice. After I clicked confirm then I receive per email confirmation but no invoice. I clicked further to search for breakdown price then I was astonished. Even the price of flight itself was not like what mentioned on both webs. It stated only flight itself was more expensive than what was quoted on both webs. Flight itself was 2347 EUR plus another 522.93 EUR for tax and fees. However, from quotation these fare should be already included. So, the quotation is fake and not reliable. This is pure cheating. After have all breakdown cost in the end after booking was completed. I called Elumbus right away to ask for the invoice as something is not right. THe guy picked up and I said the price was not correct. He said what not correct. I told him I got 2237.43, not 2347 EUr. Not 2237.43 was not possible, he said. It is already correct that what he said with really arrogant voice. I said this is not correct and I would like to cancel. Another sarcastic voice came back and said then, you can cancel by email. So, at that same day I still did not receive any official invoice from Elumbus. I wrote to cancel right away. That guy wrote me back right away even no official booking invoice or anything and said but you have to pay 100 EUR for the cancellation. I was like what were you talking about. I was not even 30 mins ago that I booked and nothing was official. Why would I have to pay anything when your quotation was not right. Next say, they sent me official invoice even though I said please cancel. Then, I wrote back but it was cancelled. Then, they sent me 100 EUR charge invoice for cancellation. PLEASE DO NOT USE ELUMBUS! They earn money with fraud. Working professional is not how they earn. A terrible experience. A few hours after reservation I received an email that the price has gone up and they offered a ticket for next day by a different airline that charges for luggage and carry on's. I called the customer service and was told they cannot help me. The customer service was very unpleasant,answering me "I will not give you a ticket". Then I called the partner which answered from apparently a farm (since I could hear the roosters in the background, the person said they are located in Philippines). They didn't help also. I asked to talk to the supervisor who did not answer, she is located in Andora. The published price was a fake price. read more

NEVER book a flight/trip with Elumbus (@elumbus) ! PLEASE SHARE this with all your friends who like to travel! Why? They do not care at all about their consumers, don't do their service right and will do anything to get your money in an easy way for them! Here's the story: - I booked flights to Brazil with Elumbus (through SWOODOO) - Got the confirmation from Elumbus - My credit card had already blocked the tickets from my credit - Few days later Elumbus writes me that my credit card had been rejected - My credit card company confirmed me they accepted Elumbus' (first) booking but rejected the other TWO times they tried to book my credit card (they tried booking my credit card three times!!) - Elumbus only sees the rejections in their system - Elumbus tells me to transfer them the money to cut the story short and guarantee my tickets (mmm nope, I wanted to use my credit card!) - I wanted to cancel to whole thing but they wanted 160 Euros for the cancelation from me - I didn't want to pay for THEIR mistake (dumb system that doesn't work & doesn't see the card was accepted!) - I involved the German consumer protection - They tried to help - Elumbus didn't assume their mistake & still wanted the cancelation fee - Meanwhile, I couldn't use my credit card because the credit was blocked for Elumbus. - Had to buy 30% more expensive tickets to Brazil 3 weeks later (until I got my credit from the credit card back) - Me and the consumer protection tried again explaining the whole thing for them, but they still wanted the cancelation fee. - My wish was to go to court for this injustice, but this would be more expensive than the cancelation fee. - So, in the end I had to pay the fee... To sum up: Elumbus set me up and made easy money with me. I didn't get anything and they got away with my money lying about my credit card rejection... It's a shame. It is one of the worst travel company I have hardly ever seen. They only know how to steal your money. They don't even deserve 1 star On 23rd Nov 2018 I booked my tickets from Hamburg to Kolkata, and it costed me around 460 euros, initially I paid it with my credit card, but then just within few minutes, I got an email from this company stating that if within next 1hr if I change my mode of payment fro credit card to direct bank transfer, I shall be getting discounts on my next booking, hence accordingly I did it and they gave me a confirmation as well for that. Then after few days I got an email from then stating that due to some technical failure, your money has been deducted from credit card as well and also from your bank in both ways, means I paid 920 euros for a 460 euros ticket. And since then, today is 19th march almost 4 Months, I habe been calling them, a many times, and wrote many emails, requesting them to return back my money since I am a student in Germany, this money is a huge amount for me, but till to date, they haven't gave me my money back.. It is a complete worst, fraud, company with even more worst services.... Don't ever buy a ticket through their website. Thank you all. read more

Elumbus made a mistake in the initial booking and refused to change it. They wanted me to pay for making the change. A month before the flight I realized that the flight was not appearing on the airline app. I contacted Elumbus and only then did they say the flight was changed and that they could not do anything about it. Unacceptable! Had I not been diligent on my end, It could have been too late as Elumbus did not bather saying something had changed in the booking they made for me. They don't tell you when something change and then they don't bather helping fixing the issue. Worst experience ever. read more

Made a reservation...got an email confirmation with different dates. Called them immediately to adjust...was told that the company makes money on change fees!!!!! then was asked to email customer service, which I did immediately...that started a back of forth of many email/phone discussion where I would be given one set of dates on the phone and email and then will be confirmed on a different one with more money! Ended up cancelling and paid a huge fees. The Customer service team is also very rude on the phone...I would definitely not recommend as they will offer a lower rate to start with and then it starts going higher along with bad customer support. read more

I live in the US but wanted to book a flight for my mum to come over from Germany and they had the best price at that time, but in hindsight I'd rather pay more than deal with these incompetent fools. I made the booking in June but in November, was randomly charged $55 twice more by them without warning. Turns out they hadn't billed enough to begin with, then went and billed me the difference without a heads up and because they do stuff manually... Did that twice. So I first had to chase for an explanation as to why I was charged again, and then why I was charged the same difference twice (and erroneously!). Been fighting back and forth with them for two months to get my $55 back. Just the worst. You've been warned! read more

elumbus-reisen IS A COMPLETE SCAM!!!! REALLY! DO NOT BOOK elumbus! It was one of the worst booking experiences in my life! I booked a flight and they completely changed the details and everything before even confirming with me. I rang them up for an explanation and they told me the airline does this automatically and I should call them. I called the airline and they told me that a the travel agent actually changed all the details and the airline had nothing to do with it. The airline also told me that the travel agency (elumbus) was registered with a fake address that didn't exist and a different name in their system. I rang back elumbus and they were yelling at me telling me that I booked wrong and it was nothing to do with them. They completely lied constantly! The airline also told me that my ticket which was booked was actually worth €300 less than what I paid as the airline itself was having a special deal. It is a fraud and extremely incompetent travel site, DO NOT BOOK WITH THEM! I normally would never be so negative towards anything but this was one of the worst experiences with travel that I have encountered. WARNING! Awful service. Twice they claimed my transfer of funds (Überweisung) had not arrived in time, despite the fact that I made the transfer immediately after booking it and the transfer was withing Germany from a well-known bank. Then they emailed me each time telling me that I have to pay an increased fare. Otherwise, a 75€ cancellation fee. It's like a SCAM! Those who had a good experience with this company consider yourself lucky! I wish I could give a 0 rating. read more
