I won't lie - the thing that got us in the door was the drinks specials. They're pretty great, and seem to be running any time, every day. ($10 caramel espresso martinis - hells yeah). Wasn't too busy when we were there - which truthfully added to the chill vibe - and staff were welcoming and friendly. The other clientele looked a little... interesting.. a few rough types around, but it is surfers so that's likely the case anywhere you go. Will probably pop back in for a drink next time I'm up this way.

The pool is open all year round and it looks perfect to swim in. The ladies behind the counter told me which times to avoid due to children doing squad training after school. In the main club there is a lunch special every day and the meals are quite large... make sure you have a good appetite. There is plenty of variety of food and senior meals are around $12. The deco is tasteful and the chairs are comfortable. Free computer access too. Like any club in Australia there are plenty of poker machines.

For the lunch specials I have tried the Chicken Breast & Grilled Fish - both include salad, chips, and a beverage of your choice which can be a beer or glass of wine. I prefer the Grilled Fish out of the two as the Chicken Breast was rather standard and nothing special. I actually enjoyed the atmosphere more than I thought I would on the night that I came here as part of a backpackers big night out. It's easy to see that people are having fun and enjoying themselves here...also the drinks are reasonably priced compared to most bars and clubs that I've been to around here.

The only downside was, on several occasions, there were kids that thought the stools were there to jump off of... the splashing went into our beers and food. The bartenders didn't say anything, but then again, the parents didn't either. Perhaps everyone thought it was ok, except for my husband and I? Overall, the beer was cold, the ice cream was delicious, the chips were hot and crispy, and the service was superior. Couple of key people to thank are Fiona, Naomi, Ethan, and Julia... all were super hospitable and kind. Certainly made for a great experience! Thank you, we will be back!

Actually, I wouldn't be surprised if it was a part of the yacht club. Anyway, as a pub I quite liked the place.
