So I called for an appointment and was told she could see me on August 18 (today is July 2). I have prescriptions that have to be monitored and maintained, and I also have a very painful issues with my arm. I don't think either can wait for August 18. They are two separate appointments and they won't combine them: one is "to establish care" and the other is an illness visit. Once I see her as a "wellness visit" on August 18, I would be able to "get in quicker" to see her in the future. For now, if I'd like to be seen and monitored by "someone else" who has more availability in their schedule I could do that. Well, I've had a terrible experience with a doctor in Chicago that left me with ongoing medical issues that could have been prevented. So I did my research and selected someone I felt I could trust. I was so very lucky to have that in New Orleans (from where I just moved) and I just wanted that again. I don't really want to see "someone else" that I don't know anything about and waiting 6+ weeks to see a doctor I researched heavily. So while I can't really rate Dr. Boyd herself, this is a warning to those who are looking for a doctor: even though her site says she is accepting new patients, I don't think she really has time for them. Be sure you can wait six weeks before seeing her if you choose her. I get why she's busy -- she's good. But why advertise that you're accepting new patients when you really don't have time for someone who needs you?

Our 4 month old daughter started crying hysterically out of nowhere. We tried all our usual tactics trying to calm her down and her crying just got more and more intense. It lasted far longer than normal and was a cry that sounded like nothing we've heard before..at least not for that long. So we had the Dr on call paged. Dr Martinez calls us back asking what the emergency was. I explained what was going on, said she didn't have a fever, she's not dirty, shouldn't be hungry (& wouldn't eat when we tried)...etc. He asks me why I'm having him paged for crying. .......I said sorry to disturb you, but we were told if baby cries for prolonged amount of time and/or you do not recognize this particular cry we should call the doctor. He said he didn't know who told us such thing, but you don't call for crying baby. To call back of she has fever, vomiting...blah, blah, blah. I said, yes well I wouldn't call for just a cry, we were concerned..thanks anyway and hung up. This is the same doctor we've had issues with before making us wait an hour or more for our appointment to begin after the appointed time. Unfortunately for us, he was the doctor on call tonight. I'll be looking into a whole different practice at this point. I love the doctor in the practice we were going to continue with but if we have to deal with this when he's on call, it's not worth it. We will never step foot back into this practice thanks to him. It only takes one bad egg to ruin someone's overall experience.

Rolled her eyes, huffed & puffed and displayed such an attitude. I can few days prior to get this work done, there was no physician in office. I don't know how you are open and operating without a Doctor and the purpose of the facility is to be seen by a doctor. Listening to a co-worker talk to the Doctor, She seems to be the only person that has an ounce of compassion and respectable attitude toward the customers. If I had a choice to use this facility in the future, I definitely would not and discourage anyone else to come here also.

Was sent there on a follow up from an ER visit as I did not have a primary care Dr. What a mistake…read more They charged me a ridiculous sum for initial visit and "extended visit" even though THEY were late. A random fee for a depression test even though I took no such test and was there on a cardiac followup. When I tried to call the billing, I was met with unintelligible customer service rep with a lot of background noise then they hung up on me. Figuring that the email contact on the bill would be a better chance, I sent them a message. I have heard nothing back in a week. If they want my money they need to explain why they charged what they did. There is no way to pay online and i would need to mail them a check. Given the way they handle the office, I'm not confident they will properly receive my check without a receipt. Avoid this place!

The worst part was that I had two coworkers also get physical's here for the first time and they were not charged a "new patient fee". Be careful of this place as they like to trick you into fees depending on the day. Now I have been trying to get this credited back to my account since October and its now its almost New Years. Horrible place. They refuse to credit and I now have to begin working with my insurance company to settle this. All for just $25.00.
