I had developed high levels of trust regarding the quality of stock, staff knowledge and representation of products and the store standing behind the forgoing. I bought a pair of ($160) Birkenstock sandals that fell apart after 2 summers. I brought them, complete with the receipt, into the store where photos were taken, a commitment to bring the issues to the Birkenstock representative was made with a promise to get back to me. Months passed with nothing so I returned to the store and, in the absence of the staff member I spoke with earlier, I left a message. Months passed. I called and spoke with the staff member and then to Daniel who said he would look into it and get back to me... nothing. I returned to the store and left a message for Daniel. Now, following several weeks of silence, I have given up.

Upon getting home, and trying again, I realized one was too big. I thought, no big deal, I'll just bring it back and exchange for a different one but thought to check the receipt first. I then noticed that it said due to covid, no exchanges or returns would be allowed. I messaged them to clarify since it had only been a couple days and they basically said it was my fault as "so and so asked how things were" and "We always ask you to check your fit before you leave to make sure you are happy". Well at the time, it did feel like it fit and now, the ladies bunch in the front and I have to do it up on the last clasp to get any support. I'm sorry, but everyone knows that in a short amount of time, this will be stretched more and unwearable as I have a bigger bust size. If I knew exactly what worked, I would have just walked in, bought my size and left. But that is why I went to a specialty bra store and not Walmart. I can understand covid restrictions and I guess it is my fault for not seeing all the apparent signage but it would have been nice to still say something at checkout to double make sure. Sportchek Penticton. Cannot say enough good things about…read morethem. My granddaughters 7th birthday. She wanted a certain bike that was not available anywhere else. I was coming from Kelowna. it was dark and raining. The manager Kim and sales associate Jordyn went over and above to ensure my granddaughter got the bike she had her heart set on. Highly recommend
