This is a family business and I feel honored to have at minimum meet Brian and his wife plus a few of their children but they have such a great story that you can get an idea of on their website and I hope others get to meet them as well. So for my project, the positive experience started from my first interaction with Epperson Electric when I went on Yelp (I also checked out their website) and asked for a quote, the response was very quick and we meet Brian, the owner, within a couple days where he walked me through the estimation, how the project would unfold and asked what I wanted plus gave me options to several things, it was very interactive experience. The estimate was very reasonable for the size of the project and I could tell that this was not "just another project" to Brian, but that he is passionate about quality of his work and this is very aligned to my own ideas and expectations. The work that Brian did was exceptional, because he didn't just wire my shop and dig a trench and lay the pipe for the hookup to the transformer, but he paid attention to the little details that you only really notice if quality of work is important to you like, straight wire runs even when no one else will see them, all the new boxes were perfectly level, the existing light fixtures being reworked and the wires were nicely zip tied and look clean, the 240' trench was perfect even though our water company's spray marks for their lines were 9' off where they marked and caused issues but everything went as planned with high quality craftmanship. I don't know if I have effectively communicated in words to everyone just how impressed I am with Epperson Electric, Brian, and his quality of work and knowledge but I will say that I will never use anyone else for any of my electrical projects in the future.

However, when Grounded Electric came to give us a quote, they very quickly determined how to do the job and made as feel secure that they knew how to get it done and how to do it well. And it was so! On the date of the appointment, the crew came to our house on time, they were very polite, and fast. They did a very clean and professional job connecting and concealing cables, opening almost invisible wholes where needed, and perfectly installing the charger, which has worked perfectly fine since it was installed. I then gave him the square footage of our house and based on that he gave me a ballpark figure of what it would cost. He said he would let the office know we are interested in the service and they would contact us within the next day or two. That never happened. I waited a week and I contacted them. They said they would set up a technician in a couple of weeks to come out. He came out and inspected our house and wrote up a quote. I agreed on the price and he said they will call to have a technician come out and apply the pesticide. We never heard back for weeks and once again they did finally come out a few weeks after that. Once he completed his (Josh) job, I made out a check to the company. Six weeks later I get an invoice indicating that we owe them for the service. WHAT THE HELL!! Apparently the technician lost the check and the office did not receive it so through all the BS we have gone through now we have to cancel the check. The only accomodation they are going to give us is credit for the cancelled check for $35.00 which that is what the bank charged us. Nothing else. Nothing for the stress or headache we experienced through this whole nightmarish ordeal!!!!!! The office manager was very appoligetic but also continued to talk about how good of any employee this Josh technician is even though he lost our check. The office manager Amber never offered us any kind of compensation for our stress of them loosing our check. She said it was not up to her to do anything for us. I called Staley Electric because of their reviews. Mitchell and Jeff came out. First, they ignored what my elderly mother told them and then argued with her. They said it was because the air conditioner was not working. That was the first two phone calls I made to the company. Then they left to get a replacement without explaining anything about the bill to my mother. That was the third phone call I made. They returned 45 minutes later. Mitchell got out of the van and started arguing with me again after I repeated what the HVAC guy said. Then he yelled at me while standing in my front yard. They fixed the switch and left without saying anything else. The air conditioner is now working. That was nearly $300 because the manager took off the $99 dispatch fee. The bills are not itemized because they charge a flat rate. TL:DR - Charged an outrageous amount when technicians did not test anything, argued with my elder mother, and yelled at me.
