I am writing to formally report a concerning experience I had during my recent appointment at…read moreDartmouth Hitchcock Manchester. I initially sought care after being advised by an urgent care provider to follow up with a specialist sooner rather than later. When I first contacted the office to schedule an appointment, I was informed that new patients were not being scheduled until August. I accepted this and ended the call. However, the following morning I received a call from your office asking if I could come in that same day at 11:00 AM. No explanation was provided for the urgency, so I assumed the doctor may have reviewed my imaging and felt it was important for me to be seen promptly. When I arrived, the check-in process was smooth, the wait time was short, and the nurse who brought me back was courteous and professional. Unfortunately, my interaction with Dr. Gould was very disappointing. Upon entering the room, his demeanor felt dismissive and rushed. After briefly examining the lump, he simply stated that it was indeed a lump and then presented two options: he could remove it, or I could leave it alone and monitor it. At no point during the visit was I given an explanation of what the lump might be, what the potential diagnoses could include, whether it was urgent or likely benign, or what risks were associated with either option. When I began asking, "What would you recommend...," before I could finish my question Dr. Gould interrupted me and stated, "I gave you two options, you'll have to decide which one." As a patient who is not medically trained and who was understandably concerned about a mass that had been discovered, I was hoping for guidance, explanation, and an opportunity to ask questions. Instead, the interaction felt dismissive and left me without the information needed to make an informed medical decision. Because of this experience, I left the appointment feeling frustrated, confused, and without answers about a health concern that had already caused significant anxiety. I hope this feedback can be used to improve communication with patients in situations where they are seeking clarity, reassurance, and professional guidance regarding potentially serious health issues.

Thank God for all the wonderful providers at DHC. I am pleased with all the improvements.read more

I didn't get to return it until later to which they said they could not refund my money for it nor pay for the postage and that I could come pick it up in Nashua. I live about an hour from Nashua and so after all that I had already done, I felt that that was it was inappropriate for them to not refund my money for for this ineffective device fitted by a person who didn't know what they were doing, and then they were argumentative with me about this about the request to be refunded for that portion of the bill it just didn't seem fair at all to me and I paid them in full, but to my regret it's a loss. I would never go here again.

I had a knee MRI procedure at NHOC. The procedure turned out better than expected. I was concerned…read moreabout the procedure being claustrophobic but it wasn't bad because my head was outside the unit. The procedure took 20 minutes. It was a series of short tests and not one long one. The technician did her best to accommodate my type music which is non-mainstream and 80's. Before having the MRI, I also addressed a lower back problem on the RIGHT side with NHOC.. That evening, in bed, I could not get comfortable because my lower back on the LEFT side was now hurting. Mostly in the area of the SI Joint. As of this review, a week later), my pain is still there. I'm not sure if the machine caused the problem or something the technician did. All I know is that I did not have this new back problem before the MRI.
