Came here on a weekday evening, asked if they take card and was told yes. Got seated and given a menu. Thought I was going to get the gyro salad but ended up seeing moussaka being served to the table next to me. Ended up getting that as I love moussaka and it was being served in an iron cast. Moussaka was piping hot, loved the piece of cheese that came on top, dish could've been more flavorful though.
Was told need to spend €30 for card but I didn't have cash on me. I should've been told there's a minimum for card when I asked about whether they take card. Well, whatever I guess - if the restaurant's not going to be honest about cash or card (minimum) upfront, they're the ones who take the consequence. If they don't tell me they only take card with €30+ and I have no cash, they're still going to swipe my card, as they did. (They told me to go inside, and they still took my card). If they did tell me about the minimum, I probably would've gone to find cash (but also if I couldn't find any, I would've gone to another restaurant...so they may have lost a customer. But in that case, is there really a card minimum?). Bah.
Anyway, moussaka was quite tasty, don't know if I'd return though. read more
