This was the absolute BEST rest stop I've ever been too, it's a hour and a half away from disney…read more.. it was a middle stop on the way to Naples. As a mom of a 1.5 year old the restroom I've seen my fair share of restrooms - this one was so clean, had a changing table and even a seat to hold the little one while you go to the bathroom. ...These seats are never seen in the states, only in Japan and Europe. This place has Elmo, and other Sesame Street character stuff animals and Winnie the Pooh. I got coffee and a stuffy, the manager was so nice and even gave our little guy stickers. What a place, seriously so unexpected... I even told the manager that this was the cleanest bathroom I've seen at a rest stop. Hats off to this place! It's also next to an oyster bar and Waffle House.

I've seen lawn mowers pulling up for a dirty thirty of Bud and a disk of chew as big as an Olympic frisbee with Jed Clampett unmounting after a morning possum hunt. People say that Walmart is where to go to people watch but gas stations are my get down. With my New York plates, I'm stirrin some fur although I don't intend to, so the business photo was a hidden hip high quick flip n click and I'm surprised I hit the target at all. And if you've never been to a truckers gas station I recommend not only the outside but the inside where you can buy great items for your travels. Flashing reflective hazard alerts for emergency, tire inflators, gloves, jacks, jumper cables and do much more. And I e found that the gas is a bit cheaper than the big boys of the oil industry. Which reminds me, I'm reading Why Your World is About to Get a Whole Lot Smaller and it's totally freaking me out. We've used up almost all the world's oil.

I've got an unhealthy love for gas station food....there I said it! And not trash at a gas station,…read morebut rather the sort of food where you try it and then say, " that was way better than I thought it would be!"- we can now add another spot to that list! We were traveling from the West Coast and any time we're in a different part of the country, we try and check out local spots. We had heard that they make good sandwiches here, so we had to check it out. They were correct! Amongst the family, we shared a chicken hoagie and chicken sandwich. Both were delicious and came out quick. Ordering was easy as there were options to do it on a kiosk or in person. They also had good coffee and good shakes. The actual store was nice with plenty of other drinks and gas station accoutrements to choose from. All in all, this may have been one of the top couple gas stations that we've ever been to! Well, played Wawa!

Mid 80's and the family is going to Action Park. There's a spot in ever journey that you've…read moretraveled before that you know is approaching at some point soon, the anticipation builds - but what is this place? It's many different things to many different people and the symbolism is also different. These trips, I anxiously awaited seeing the WAWA sign in Jersey. I thought it was the Canadian Goose looking logos name, but it wasn't. But inside there were treats of pies and ice cream and no gasoline, so I was surprised to see the pizza and the pumps wayyy down here. Because you know what they say in Florida, other than "go on vacation and leave on probation" is "the further north you go, the more southern it gets" and the opposite is also true here. My buddy wanted to try their pizza, I was lukewarm at best to his proposal but we did it anyway. I have a neighbor that speaks about WAWA, as in everything about it, (the food especially) with such reverence, I do believe it's his favorite restaurant and I'm not sure if I should tell him that it's a convenience store and gas station. He's a peculiar fellow so all of what he says makes complete sense to me because I guess we're all a little crazy around here and be beyond here, the whole worlds gone a bit crazy I'd say He loves his $2.79 a pack of "Miami grown and local" 305 cigarettes and at over two packs a day, mind you that's not included his 305 purple or gold cigar habit and all of the smoke that he's sucked up has turned him a shade of ashen grey, there's a big missing teeth issue too. 16" veggie, marinara, mozzarella cheese fill, red onions, green peppers and mushrooms. The crust was that bouncy south of the Mason Dixon Line weird no crumbs kind, nobody gets it right because nobody needs to because nobody knows better and the few that do just go to the beat of this drum and I guess I do it.
