Cool place down in the basement with a very nice and large selection of all types of art supplies…read more Was a little bit difficult to find because their sign isn't very visible and the double doors to the place are kinda tucked in. You walk in and it's downstairs in the basement of the whole building. So it's a pretty large space. I wish they had a bigger selection of coloring books but I guess it's more a place for actual artists and not so much amateurs that want to practice staying in the lines.

I was excited to pick something from the wide variety of badger gear as well. I went into the store and headed to the back. A few minutes into my shopping experience, two workers there started loudly having a conversation a few feet away about how 'shoplifting is morally wrong' and how 'it's so disappointing that young people do that instead of getting a job' This lasted for a few minutes before they stopped, and went back to there own work (One of them restocking the stuffed animals right next to me) Before starting up again, this time they were flirting also. I would never steal anything; I also have a job that pays me (probably better than theirs). I was polite and cordial. In the end, my family (who was finishing something) joined me, and we left the overpriced store without buying anything. They have lost a family-run alumni business; time to shop at Dick's for gear--at least the mall will have more books. (P.S. I made a yelp acount for this)

I am certainly glad I acted on the recommendation as Jim has a great eye and I am very much a novice in all matters artistic. He went through a series of frame swatches until I saw one that set off the alarm bells in my head and left the painting in his care. I was more than pleased after receiving it back. Wonderful work, and also at a very affordable price for custom framing (the paining was stretched on gallery boards originally and not a common canvas size either). I can't really speak of the selection of art supplies as, as I stated, I know nothing of such matters, but the painting looks fantastic and Jim was great to work with. I would highly recommend Art Haus.

Terrible experience with this company: I am an art teacher and called to set up an art education…read moreaccount so I could get discounts. I told this to the representative. After being put on hold, and then taking a long time to get all of my data over the phone, she asked me what my first item was. I told her I thought I was setting up an educator account, yet she said, no. To do that, I would have to send a preliminary order in and get a quote for an art educator discount. Who has the time to do this? Why not just tell us what the educator price is per item, or our % discount from the start- like other companies? Total waste of time. To make things worse, I ended up ordering some supplies anyway, without taking the time to get an educator quote. I did this the easy, modern way, via internet. I got a a confirmation email with my order, I used a coupon for a 10% off, and the internet site validated it via my confirmation and credit card charge. I did this to receive my product asap for a upcoming lesson plan. I though everything was taken care of until..... The next day, I get a barely audible voice mail (no email) that tells me that Nasco regrets not being able to honor the 10% off, and asking my permission to charge my card for the full amount. This company is disorganized and completely unprofessional. Beware, especially if you are an art educator!!!
