This review is for the office since I didn't actually get to my appointment (part of it is on me…read moreand part of it is on them). At first, I couldn't even get an appointment as a new patient, but then I got a referral. Even then I had to wait four months. Healthcare shortages... I get it. Some places give reminder calls. This place didn't. Instead, I got a call the afternoon before about my insurance which recently changed. Other places (OHSU) called a week before but this clinic called at the very last minute. When I called them back to give them the new number I had to repeat the information 5 or 6 times and I kept being told it was invalid. Later I found out that the person didn't have a lot of experience entering insurance information and it was user error on their part. I wasn't given any other information like how early to get their etc. most doctors offices do automated reminder calls emails with this kind of info but I was only given the basics. I got stuck in traffic on the way to an 8 am appointment. I tried calling at 7:45 to tell them I'd be 10-15 minutes late but couldn't get through and was told to call at 8 when the office opened. Called at 8 and was on hold for 15 plus minutes. When I finally got through to someone I was told it was too late to check in (even though I already checked in online and filled out a bunch of forms). Then I was told that I had to reschedule. Then I was told there were no available times that I could be rescheduled to. I get that I was late and they are understaffed but I wish that they could have at least referred me somewhere else. This is the first time I was late somewhere and the office couldn't fit me in or reschedule. Communication from the office could be a lot better.

Legacy Pre-Op, in my experience, is careless. At Admissions check-in on my day of surgery, I was…read moretold I needed to have seen a cardiologist. I did not know this. Admissions checked and at first, Pre-Op said they told me I needed to see a cardio beforehand, but on checking they admitted they never had. I was not able to have my surgery on that day for that reason. I rescheduled, saw a cardio and had most of the tests redone. This time, my blood sample was left out over a weekend and was useless. After some deep thought, I cancelled my planned and needed surgery. Now I am being billed for various amounts of co-pay. They can't even figure out the bill! Alarming and very disappointing.

I went Vancouver clinic for a regular annual physical. I was asked questions that are asked with…read moreevery physical exam. Based on the discussion the doctor charted the visit as an ordinary visit, not a preventative physical exam. This changed my billing from a normal copay to a $590 bill! This lack of informed financial consent raises serious concerns about compliance with the Oregon Unlawful Trade Practices Act (ORS 646.608) and RCW 19.86 in Washington, both of which prohibit deceptive and unfair billing tactics. The absence of clear, itemized explanations, combined with a refusal to re-code services that were plainly preventive, reflects a systemic issue that may warrant regulatory review. Patients have the right to receive services with full understanding of financial implications, and to be informed prior to incurring out-of-pocket charges for procedures that are reasonably assumed to be covered. When billing is weaponized as a profit-maximizing tool--particularly in the context of routine or preventative care--it undermines both trust and access to care. Be very careful with your interaction with this clinic!

ZERO STARS. THE WORST. DON'T WASTE YOUR TIME!…read more My doctor's office called me and left a message to call them but did not leave an extension to punch in for when I called back, so I had to go through their Patient Service (hahahaha) Center as if I was calling them cold. After waiting 20 minutes to get a human, they made me wait another 10 minutes while they contacted my doctor's office (one of their own clinics) to make sure that I was allowed to talk to them directly - and I was RETURNING their phone call! When I finally got through, I asked my doctor's office why they didn't leave their extension (since THEY called ME); the lady said that her supervisor wouldn't allow that..... I wrote a letter to their chief medical officer and she told me that they don't like patients to call and talk to the individual doctor office staff because "sometimes the calls go on a bit to long and the staff are trying to help patients..." What the hell am I - a potted plant? Needless to say, I have new doctor. A human at the actual doctor's office answers the phone. If you like dealing with cable tv companies, airlines, big banks, and the IRS, stick with the Vancouver Clinic - they are no better.
