Really needed to be seen by a Dr. but with our current person in charge of our country…read more...... people without health insurance are......... left with few affordable options. I found out about Providence Medical Group through some friends and checked it out. The Patient Coordinator Sable was awesome. She was very nice and laughed at my jokes making me feel a little at ease. I was able to make a $40.00 upfront payment and be billed for the rest. So i can make payments. Otherwise, I would still be at home. Heart racing out of control. Anxiety through the roof, trying to relax! Not easy. ( Oh. By the way. I hate hospitals! I have too much trauma of my own to like being in hospitals. I have woken up in the hospital a couple times. It will freak you out for a moment! So ya. I do not like hospitals!) After a short wait and some questions. I was taken care of by a great nurse and an awesome Dr. My heart feels better but i think my dose may be weak. Something I think Dr. Phillip will have no problem with. Even now. My heart feels better than it has in months. PMG is a great place.. I feel I may actually not hate this hospital.

Pretty terrible clinic. As most Providence clinics are. Certain staff/providers make it a mostly…read moreregrettable experience. Some are okay. But now to make matters worse, Providence has removed all incoming call reception from the clinics and routed all calls to a call center somewhere. There has not been a single time since they made this change that I or anyone else in my family has been able to make it through the call queue in under 20 minutes. It's usually closer to 30. This is not an exaggeration. We went from being able to actually call our doctor's team and talking to someone in one or two minutes at the most, to now having to listen to the entire hold music menu twice over every time we call, and keep in mind that we're calling our doctor about our health, so sometimes timeliness matters. This is an unmitigated disaster and whoever made this decision should not only be fired, but should be permanently blacklisted from ever working anywhere ever again, because it shows either extreme incompetence or extreme hostility toward patients, or perhaps both. And if you thought mychart was a good alternative, think again. They also offsited message screening to some centralized location so not only does it take forever to hear back, but you're usually not even talking to your own clinic. The whole system is broken and it would be better to just let Providence go under than to let it languish in eternal decline, dragging their patients down with them.

Northwest Primary Care - Sunnyside Collaborative Care 5…read moreStars (10/10 in my book) Let me start by saying this: I walked in here nervous as hell. I'd read nine bad reviews and thought I was about to walk into a medical circus. Instead? Total opposite. These folks are pros. First off, I got a tetanus shot from Heather (pretty sure she's an assistant), and I swear to you I didn't even feel it. She was done before my brain even registered there was a needle in the room. I was honestly stunned. Then I had bloodwork done by Riley, and again... no feeling, no digging, no fishing around. Usually when I get labs done, I feel every movement like they're trying to tune a radio in my arm. Not here. Riley was quick, smooth, and genuinely impressive. The ladies at the front desk? Friendly as can be. The place itself? Clean, organized, zero chaos. Everyone I met acted like they wanted to be there, which is rare in the medical world. What really blew me away is how simple the online system is once you set it up. Yeah, the first-time paperwork is a little annoying (anything new is), but once you're in boom you can check test results, message people, see what's next... it's like logging into your bank. Easy. So if you're like me, scrolling through reviews and stressing yourself out relax. You're in good hands here. I walked in worried and walked out smiling. Huge shout-out to the whole team at Northwest Primary Care Sunnyside. You guys crushed it.

And I have never thought of changing clinics because I got such exemplary care through them. Fast forward to now. I lost my job and right afterwards was injured when my car was rear-ended, which diminished my job search. When my previous employer's insurance ran out, I was put on the Oregon Health Plan. I just got off the phone with their business office, and after I told them my insurance has changed, the clinic dropped me because they don't take OHP. I am trying to get preauthorization for a critical MRI and I've run out of medicine for my heart failure, but they say I'm not their patient anymore. Now I'm scrambling to see what I can do to get my much-needed medicine, and I'm going to have to call to cancel my MRI which I spent several months trying to schedule. My circumstances will change, and I'll get insurance that I'm sure that Northwest Primary Care will take, but I will not go back to them after this.

Unfortunately, after my PCP, Dr. Kara Crisp, left the practice, that level of care went downhill. I have seen multiple providers, and unless I agree to paying for an out-of-pocket test, some of which that have been questionable, they are uncertain about what to do. I have spent hours upon hours in appointments with really no answers, and while I do appreciate that each provider takes time to speak with me, getting a timely referral, or timely lab results, is something this clinic struggles with. Again, they used to be on top of it, so I am uncertain as to what has happened in the last few years. Recently, I requested a diagnostic test, and after a lot of back and forth, I finally had one scheduled. Unfortunately, the authorization number that was given had expired, and no one in the office knew what happened, and they kept passing the blame onto someone else, delaying and inevitably forcing me to cancel said test, unless I wanted to pay out of pocket, which would have been quite costly without insurance. The receptionist, who regularly laughs at clients whenever they ask a simple question, was also quite abrasive and unprofessional. When I had made a complaint to the office manager, the blame kept being passed onto others, which seems to be a reoccurring theme with this practice. There is 0 accountability, and one of the reasons I am giving this place 3 stars is due to how lovely the clinic's environment is. It is calming, welcoming, and a stark difference from that of a western medicine doctor's office. I am also giving 3 stars, because I truly did like my providers, but I feel like the office staff could have been more supportive of them, taken on more responsibilities, and could have had more clear communication. Something that had been a reality when I first started with them back in 2019. Yes, I understand that each provider is essentially an independent contractor renting out office space, but that's a poor excuse for not supporting them and not taking on the responsibilities other doctors' offices front staff typically take on.

As we approached the, literally about to open the door and the nurse comes up and locks the door. I am sure I gave her a terrible look because she inched open the door and said the doctor seen his last patient for the night. Even though the door says they are open until 8pm. I said are you serious? This kid has a broken arm and your door says you are open until 8pm. She said you'll have to go across the street..they can help you and shut the door. Obviously I was appalled! Really, turn away a kid in that condition! Needless to say the urgent care across the street did help us! This place does not care about people...choose a different place.

As one of the practitioners called my daughter to begin her physical, my wife went inside the room with them and I waited outside in the corner of the waiting room/lobby, just minding my own business. I could hear what they were doing at the reception desk, but the receptionist's computer blocked me, so they couldn't see me from where I was sitting. One of the first things they did was an eye exam on my daughter, and I only know this because this practitioner, named Christina, who examined my daughter's eyes, came back out to the reception area and said OUT LOUD to the receptionist: "This girl's eyesight sucks!" Her co-worker responded, "Her dad's waiting outside," knowing that I could hear everything, since the waiting room is not that big. I obviously couldn't just sit there, so I got up and looked at Christina, asking her, "Did you check my daughter's eyes?" Christina said, "Yes." I then asked, "Did you just comment something inappropriate about her eyesight?" And she flat-out gave me a "No." I asked, "Are you sure?" And once again she said, "No, I did not." I then looked at the receptionist who knew I was sitting in the waiting room, and asked her, "Did you hear your co-worker say something about my daughter?" The receptionist said, "No" and again asked her if she was sure, and she again told me, "No." I clearly heard everything, and BOTH the practitioner Christina and the receptionist LIED to me. This is not the way you talk about your patients, your customers, and especially children. This was unprofessional of them, and I am NEVER coming back to this clinic and will never tell anyone to go here ever again.

(Despite telling me that I'm all checked in) 4-5 families came after we arrived, yet got to see their doctor before we were called. I thought that perhaps they accidentally double booked or there was an emergency going on in the back. Nope, it was none of those reasons!! When our name was called I expressed my frustration to the nurse who was really rude back despite it being their staff's fault for the error. Note to that nurse: if it's your clinic's fault, you need to learn to shut your mouth and accept responsibility!! The nurse finally explained that no one checked us in!!! I couldn't believe this!! I arrived early because I respected their time, but they lack of respect for my time. On top of that, I had a conference call that I needed to join, but this error caused me to miss work. Is it fair that I was unable to do my job because they can't do their job??? I give them 1 star, and this is only because Dr. Long is nice and we have been going to her for 8 years. This will be the last time our family goes to the happy valley clinic. Their staff is unprofessional and ignorant. They are unable to do their job and I really hope Dr. Shah reads this posting and decides to either retrain the support staff or consider hiring professional employees. To the receptionist that didn't check me in... sorry, there's no excuse. We were the ONLY family in the room. Do your damn job and stop surfing the internet and gossiping with other employees!! You are a huge waste of resource!

My child needed a sports physical to be able to try out and participate in a school activity. We had a small window between jobs so we had to get government insurance. They completely refused my child care during that time, we had multiple conversations with Oregon pediatrics as what we needed was a pressing matter, received poor information multiple times. We were told we didn't need it since she had been seen within 2yrs, incorrect, then we waited weeks until we had secured insurance that they took again, and the morning of this long awaited appointment they cancelled the appointment, (after my child had already missed school.) due to the government insurance still showing up on their end even though we had already cancelled it. Absolutely wrong on so many levels. The staff when addressing this issue were VERY unprofessional, adding insult to injury we were called a liar. Unbelievable, we had been loyal to them for YEARS, and to be treated this way is just wild.
