She had time available that day and offered to do the color right on the spot, so I agreed. She was knowledgeable, took her time, and did a wonderful job! She did a combination of foil highlights and balayage on my long hair. It turned out better than I could have imagined and I have already received lots of compliments. From the start, the process felt rushed and careless and Rylie had a nasty attitude. The extensions were installed with excessive tension, improper placement, and zero concern for the health of the natural hair. Within days, my daughter experienced intense scalp pain, breakage, and noticeable hair loss. Instead of enhancing her hair, this service destroyed it. She now has uneven patches, weakened strands, and damage that will take months--if not longer--to recover from. A hair extension install should never leave someone afraid to touch or brush their own hair. I thought she had that same goal in mind through her recommendations, never did I think (nor did she say) the color would be a completely different color and style. After expressing this and showing her pictures again she offered to do a "complementary" service to get me to the color I originally wanted, we scheduled it the following week. We talked about the damage it could cause my hair, she recommended 7 products she sells from her store and suggested I buy and start using them soon. She never told me my appointment would be canceled unless I bought all her products at once and used them for probably a max of 4 days before the appointment. She notified me the day of the appointment that she was canceling my appointment as she saw I hadn't bought them from her store. Also they weren't all available the many times I checked! But thinking she personally recommended these items with my hair's best interest in my mind, I didn't mind waiting. It's disappointing to me as I had all intentions to buy these products and get my dream hair however this miscommunication and expectation that would pay $300+ for these 7 products at once just a week after I already payed her $340 for my original hair was so inconsiderate. I got second opinions from other hairstylists that said they would have charged me $200 max for the work she did. What was more disappointing is the fact that she kept placing the blame as me as the client for not assuming her expectations and not understanding why these products are so important (which I do understand). I felt so disrespected and although she tried to be as kind as she tries It came of a bit manipulative as she continued to blame me and compare me to a child who needs someone to dumb things down for them. Eda gave me exactly what I asked for, which was, and I quote "I'm not quite sure what I want to do...I want to go darker...but I also want to go lighter...I really don't know." Now if I would have taken on a client like this, I would have been like make up your damn mind, but she delivered better than I imagined. She gave my hair life and dimension, as well as great conversation, which was a bonus.
