It's a bit of an odd one to review a famous football stadium based on a corporate experience, but a worthy one nonetheless. If you had ever come to wonder about how these sort of buildings make up their wages during the quiet empty days between seasons (or what ever it is, I am not a football fan really) then this review may draw some light on the subject!
I came here through work to help maintain a large conference. We had around 200 people to look after, sign in, guide to the appropriate rooms, lectures and so on. I arrived at about 8am, which is a tad early for my liking, and everything was running smoothly. Breakfast bites had been organised for the delegates and there was an excellent team of people on hand to serve. When it came to lunch time the menu was a buffet menu, of a varied and decent selection of vegetarian and meat based bits, with a delicious healthy fruit cocktail to finish. The buffet was served out for us, so everyone had a meal, and even the manager was getting stuck in to help - which was most impressive!
Later on when there were technical issues with wireless internet and so on, the manager again came to the rescue and helped to sort it all out. He did so with a really polite manner, despite being grumbled at, so for that I feel he deserves a good mention! As the rooms go there were several small conferencing rooms to fit between 20 - 35 people and one huge room to fit, say, 350. Every room had plenty of power points and places to put projectors and screens but, as we discovered, require an ethernet cable for internet connections. (I've a feeling that will be to do with those big old school thick walls!)
All in all, as a conferencing centre, I thought they were excellent. Well run, well organised, smiley and polite and really well managed. Brilliant! read more
