Let me start by saying, if you've never had a colonic and this is the first place you go to, you…read morewill never ever know that other places are no where near as nice as this place! It's like going to a Burke Williams spa for colonics (aka colon hydrotherapy). More importantly, Alicia is amazing! She walks you through every step and makes you feel so relaxed that you forget there's a tube up your but flushing your toxic waste out! Honestly, I never even feel it's happening. I might feel the tiniest little sensation of pressure, but it's ZERO compared to all other colonics I've had. I've done both "open" and "closed" systems. This is a "closed" system. Honestly the "open" ones are a lot of work! And the closed ones I feel are more relaxing and personal as the practitioner will massage your belly and help you eliminate easier. But I am telling you, Alicia takes this to a whole other level! First off, she's in a gorgeous old building in downtown LA that has the type of character no new buildings have these days. 2nd, when you enter her space, it immediately feels like a spa. Calm, white, clean, serene, nice white leather furniture in the waiting area with a soothing waterfall feature right next to you. Then when you go in the bathroom there's a gown and slippers waiting for you and a basket for your clothes and even an area to hang your purse and everything you'd need to remove make up and simply put yourself in the zone. Then you go into the room and the actual table is HEATED, just like a nice spa massage table would be! It's got an infared mat under it that helps eliminate parasites if you have any (heck, I don't know about you, but I don't know if I have any up in my gutt, but if I do, I sure as heck want them out, out, out)! Then she has you lay on your side and has you help her guide the device in. Once you're situated she applies some mint essential oil to your back (I think it was mint) and then she massages your belly by hand and puts some oils on there too and may use a machine to further massage and break up anything stuck up in there. Don't forget, your colon is as long as you are tall. For me, that's almost 6 feet! That's a lot of poop it can house! Also, she will have you lay on your back for the entire session, once you've been situated and then she will massage your feet and your legs up to your ankles basically doing "acupressure" that also helps you release more. Win, win, win.............. NO ONE ELSE DOES THIS, at least not at the level she does. I was literally backed up and hadn't pooped in well over a week and just couldn't take it anymore. In the span of 2 weekends, I had 4 colonics. 2 of them with Alicia (she has Sunday appts, which no one else does) and 1 in Burbank and 1 in Midwilshire. Honestly, I've been getting colonics sporadically for over 10 years both in Chicago and LA and have gone to at least 10 different places and this is the Ferrari of colon hydrotherapy. If you can afford to stick with Alicia you won't be sorry. Her pricepoint is right around the middle of the road, not the highest and not the lowest, but for what you're getting, THE BEST and worth every last penny. She offers add ons at the end where she can add coffee, garlic, probiotics or minerals, each for $25 I believe. And you can do up 2 at a time, but you should let her know toward the beginning of the session if you want to add on. So if you're looking for a class A act, a super nice, gentle, compassionate, understanding and extremely knowledgeable practitioner to handle your extremely intimate and vulnerable moment, Alicia is the one for you! Sure, you can search for Groupons and find other places for cheaper, but you know the saying..... YOU GET WHAT YOU PAY FOR. It's like going to a $25/hr massage shop that only has curtains separating the beds vs going to Burke Williams and being treated like a princess (or prince). :) I highly recommend Essential Blu and Alicia. Btw, on Sundays, you can park in the lot directly across the street (the first entrance on the right - not the 2nd one) and it will be a flat $6 rate to park, or circle the building and hope you find street parking, but give yourself some time since it's all one-way streets and if you don't find something, come back to the $6 flat rate lot and park on the 2nd floor and take the elevator back down then cross the street and go see Alicia. Just remember to ask her ahead of time what her suite number is as the doorman isn't always there on Sundays. :)

Alicia is absolutely wonderful! She is extremely professional, caring, and gentle. And is TRULY…read moreconcerned with your well being. Colon Hydrotherapy can be daunting, but Alicia takes the time to walk you through the process and make sure you are comfortable (even for me and I have been doing this for years). I would never go anywhere else!

We arrived 15-20 minutes before our scheduled service and were kindly greeted by the front desk staff and shown to the locker room. The locker room has 2 bathrooms, 2 showers, lockers, and various cleansers and products to use before/after service. We then went into their "relaxation room" waiting area before our service started to wind down and fill out the massage intake forms. It was like a cozy living room with couches, lounge chairs, a fireplace, and refreshment bar with spa water, iced tea, and hot tea. I liked that the form asked questions like how talkative you would like your masseuse to be, if you have any injuries/tender spots, and preferred pressure firmness. My partner had booked us the "Escape Together" package which included a 20-minute copper bath and 60-minute couples massage in the outdoor cabana. The bath was totally relaxing and the jets turning off signaled the end of our 20-minute soak. We returned to the relaxation room where we were greeted by our masseuses Rachel and Lana who guided us to the cabana. We were prompted to choose our preferred essential oil for the aromatherapy concept. Lana provided a very relaxing massage for me and was very sweet. I would have enjoyed firmer pressure but I think it was my fault for circling "Gentle" on the form. I usually go to more budget-friendly Asian spas where their default pressure is usually quite rough. My partner said she enjoyed her massage with Rachel as well. After the massage, they brought us some iced tea and let us know that we were welcome to use the dry sauna and encouraged us to stay hydrated. We spent about 10 minutes in the sauna before ending our time. I greatly enjoyed my time here. The spa was clean, relaxing, and every single one of the staff members we interacted with were wonderful. I would highly recommend a visit here for individuals or couples.

When we arrived, there was no concierge present despite that being promoted on their website. I had to track down the customer service number myself just to figure out how to access the room we had reserved. About 30 minutes later, I received a call from Anthony claiming I was being "inconsiderate," without even explaining why at first. After repeatedly asking what he was referring to, he said someone complained that my baby was crying -- which simply was not true. I asked him to check the cameras before making accusations, but instead he continued lecturing me and saying he was "protecting his clients." I am also a paying client. I booked and paid for my wife's experience. Once he realized that, his tone and story started changing. But by then, the damage was done. What should have been a relaxing Mother's Day experience became stressful and uncomfortable because of how we were treated. All I was doing was feeding my baby quietly. Instead of handling the situation professionally, Anthony chose to insult me, insult my wife, and send hostile text messages afterward to justify his behavior. A single customer complaint should never be enough reason to harass and disrespect another paying customer without verifying facts first. I would strongly recommend avoiding this place. Professionalism and customer respect are clearly not priorities here. He also thought my name was "Hayes" until I corrected him so who knows if he even called the right client. What a joke.

I overslept -- and I mean that as the highest compliment my nervous system has ever paid anything. The space is immaculate. Warm, intentional, quietly luxurious without trying too hard. From the moment you step in, something in your body just... exhales. The private suites feel like a gift you give yourself. The quiet room after is the kind of stillness most of us spend years chasing. Anthony has created something rare here -- a space that actually does what wellness spaces promise. No performance. No noise. Just genuine, deep rest. I'm a women's wellness founder and I will be hosting my next curated experience here. That's how much I believe in what Wellnest is doing. If you are tired, depleted, or simply overdue for stillness -- this is your place. Go. Stay longer than you planned. You won't regret it. Next Day Update: If you wear any sleep tracking device and numbers are your thing then this is speaking to you. I hit a 99 on my sleep tracking. She is truly a God-sent naturopathic doctor who transformed my menopausal journey. Before seeing her, I was struggling with fatigue, mood changes, joint aches, anxiety, weight shifts, sleep issues -- all the symptoms that make you feel disconnected from your own body. Dr. Gerber took the time to listen, to test, and to truly understand what my body needed. She placed me on bioidentical hormone therapy, personalized to me, and it has completely changed my life. My energy returned, my sleep improved, my mood stabilized, and for the first time in years, I feel like myself again. I owe so much of my well-being to her care. She is knowledgeable, patient, compassionate, and deeply committed to her patients' health. If you're a woman navigating perimenopause or menopause and you're seeking real, sustainable relief -- Dr. Gerber is the doctor you want by your side. I am so grateful for her expertise and support. She also saw my sister and my brother's wife during her pregnancy and birth of their child. I'm mainly writing a review of her quality of care of myself and my sister when she started seeing Michelle. I never found her treatment of my condition very helpful or well informed, although she considers herself a functional or naturopathic medicine practitioner. I was not helped by her articulate, seemingly super-competent but ultimately useless assessment of both my health and the treatments and supplements she prescribed; years later I found a much better option for myself and I think back to all the time that I felt both unseen and dismissed by her for personal reasons (or maybe she treats everyone like that?) but I didn't trust her because of it. She has the emotionless quality of someone on the spectrum. I thought her treatment of my sister was overpriced and totally absurd since it required excruciating treatment of a gynecological nature and I don't think she or most western doctors have a clue about how the human body actually works. In the end, her staff also didn't bother to inform us that her office had moved and we went to the old location and waited only to find out they weren't there. I didn't bother returning. She has a practice full of pregnant or looking to get pregnant women who think she's got her finger on the pulse of alternative medicine and protocols but to my view it is basically straight western medicine with a lady meting out the same punishments of women's bodies. Not a fan and don't recommend.
