It is very nice nostalgic theater. It shows 3 movies. You walk in and can buy tickets. The people still wear nice vests and white collared shirts. Tickets prices are not outrageous either. I love the snack prices , they are absolutely reasonable. They serve Pepsi products. They butter the popcorn for you and pop it fresh. They sell pickles which I've never seen before. That's a new snack for sure. When I was little I use to watch movies at home with my dad who always wanted to own a video store , and my snack choices were different for sure . I use to eat pickled pigs feet, lemons wedges with salt and chips and salsa. Looking back at it now ...disgusting! Anyhow the Elks theatre is clean and welcoming. The restrooms are kept clean. It's worth a visit if you want to watch a movie. read more

Was trying to kill time in Rapid City, so my family and I went to see "Ant-Man and the Wasp," a movie that's now four months old. When the movie is THAT old, I don't think there's a need to see all the trailers and previews that aren't very relevant anymore. I didn't have the greatest expectations, but I was pleasantly surprised by the size and quality of the picture and the seats were very comfy. read more

Watched the Barbie movie with my grandkids and it was in the screening room, of all places it should have been in the main theater. Anyway the air conditioning was not great and everyone left sweaty. The time spent with my family out weighted the awful atmosphere. At least we got ice cream to cool off after. read more

This place is SO much fun! It's in an historic building in the middle of downtown - and they show the only remotely independent movies I know of in Western South Dakota. Check their website - they have all kinds of specials, but my favorite is bring-your-own-bucket night, where you bring the receptacle of your choice, and they fill it with popcorn - for free! We only get back to Rapid occasionally these days - but a trip to Elks Theatre is our favorite way to reminisce. A movie here, followed (or preceded) by tea at Bully Blends is about the coolest thing to do in Rapid City. read more

I've been going to see movies at the Elks since I was a kid. Off the top of my head, I remember seeing Aladdin several times here, as well as other classics like Mighty Ducks 2 and Heavyweights. It grew to me seeing whatever lameass comedy was playing when I moved into adulthood. Like, I saw the Ben Stiller/Owen Wilson version of Starksey and Hutch here, too. But if you're going to see a lame movie, do it at the Elks, where the floors aren't sticky, the staff are friendly, and the seats are comfortable? I last saw The Accountant here, and while I liked that movie quite a bit, I'm sure it was partially augmented by the splendor of the theater itself. read more

Awesome prices!!! Spent less then $25 here for me and my boyfriend. Got tickets, a large drink and a large popcorn. Only down side was we watched the last showing and they shut down the concession once the movie begins. Would be nice to wait till at least the middle of the movie, popcorn was so good my boyfriend finished it in the first half. He went to go check on the concession stand to get more, but they were closed. Overall best experience. read more

The Elks Theater is always a great time! This is the second year we have participated in the summer kids movie program. They have the BEST popcorn in the city and it's nice that they have cushions to put on the seats for kids. read more

The Elks is my go to movie place!!! They have the biggest screen of anything anywhere close. THE BEST POPCORN!!!!! ( Don't laugh but sometimes I'll just go over for a snack and not see a movie at all.) The Screening room is my favorite seating 'cus it's not very big only like 100 people can squish in there. And since the movies have already been in the "big" theaters - No one yells at your for laughing at the screen even if they don't get it. read more

My daughter and I saw a movie and the prices are great! She purchased a snack pack that was popcorn, candy and a small drink for $3. The temperature was great not freezing cold like others in town. The staff was friendly and gave me a card for stamps once it is full it is a free movie. We will deify go back and probably more often! read more

Everything about this theatre is awesome. Cheap movie tickets, comfortable and spacious amounts of seating in the main theatre, great snack bar selection. Love sitting in the balcony when I get a chance. Main theatre has a huge screen! Always a great experience. read more

In March, my family attended a movie at Golden Ticket Cinemas 7. After purchasing tickets and concessions, we entered a nearly empty theater only one other person was present. Shortly after, a manager informed us that due to demand for another showing, we would need to leave. Instead of a refund, we were given a green ticket stub with a six-digit code to use at a later date. About seven weeks later, we tried to use that credit. Like many customers, we planned ahead and attempted to reserve seats online. The system showed availability, but when we entered the six-digit code, it was not accepted. I called the theater for help and asked if they could hold seats for the next day especially since we already had credit from a prior inconvenience. They declined, citing expected demand. I then asked for a promo code or any workaround to reserve seats in advance, and that was also declined. This creates a frustrating situation: the theater has already received payment, but the customer assumes all the risk. If we had shown up the next day and the theater was full, we would have been turned away again with no guarantee of service despite already paying. To avoid that outcome, I had to drive across town the night before, go in person, and redeem the stubs just to secure seats. That shouldn't be necessary in a system where online reservations are the norm. I understand policies are meant to protect a business, but there should be reasonable accommodations especially after a disrupted experience initiated by the theater itself. Even a simple solution like temporarily holding seats with a release window would have resolved this. Instead, what should have been a recovery from a poor first experience became a second frustrating one. That's disappointing and feels entirely avoidable.

This is the worse movie theater I have ever gone to. Nobody should go here. They make disability people stand for a half hour to sit down for a scheduled show that started late because nobody there knows how to do their job!! When I said something they looked at me like they're stupid! Somebody needs to learn how to make AND follow their schedule. How slow do you have to be to work there? This place needs to be more accessible for disabled people. This place also needs more training with their employees. I am telling everyone to boycott this movie theater. read more

This is fucking cancer. The prices are quite good, but it's so old timey that I feel like I'm at a ducking concentration camp. Also, a black man with a trench coat just entered and I'm on the edge of my seat. This place makes me want to die, but I don't want to die by getting shot to death. With a great crowd, and some pretty awkward karaoke, it made for a very entertaining spot to grab a drink. The prices are very good, and they have a surprising selection too. The exhibit is right next to the large lake in Memorial Park and has a large parking lot nearby for easy access. You can also walk around the park if it is a nice day for an extra treat. The main part of the exhibit is a chunk of the actual Berlin Wall. There are a few other artifacts and displays in the open air exhibit that document the history of the wall and the legacy of the Cold War. While it is important to understand this time in global history, the exhibit is just a taste rather than a full meal. If you are in the park on a beautiful day, meander over to the Berlin Wall Exhibit for a brief history lesson.
